This week in Mexico 9-19-20

Last week we prepared grocery bags to last a full month for the refugees we serve. This week we were able to deliver them!

It’s incredible to see that everywhere we serve,  kids are kids! In poverty and lack, they smile and run and laugh. None of the weight of the adults in on their shoulders. It’s so beautiful to witness, and I think this is one of the ways Jesus wants us to become like little children. (Matthew 18:1-5)—trusting, and knowing our Abba has it handled.

Each time we visit, there are more little ones. The need is so great during the lockdown that has had everyone out of work for so long. Some factories are beginning to open up and give part-time work again. But there are new people in need each time we visit. And even though we’ve been serving this group for a while now (two years!), and we’ve become pretty close to them, each new person needs to grow to trust us as well. Trust is hard for people who have been mistreated by those in power over them at every turn. You can see our beginning outreach with them here.

Thank you for your love, and your prayers for those we serve around the world! It’s absolutely amazing what happens when we come together and follow the Lord’s leading. I’m beyond grateful for you all!

Thank you for keeping us, this ministry, and our outreaches in prayer, and thank you for your support! We couldn’t do any of this without you.
