Week in review – June 17 2017

this week at gracethrufaith

This week at gracethrufaith.com:

In our Mexico garden to feed the poor, we’re transplanting seedlings after our last harvest. In India, we’re planning an entire summer of Bible activities for the kids! And on the site, as always, we’re sharing the Word. Here’s a recap of this week in the ministry.

We finished harvesting our lettuce crop just in time. Our squash seedlings are ready to transplant.

We’ve been planting and harvesting for a year and a half now, but it’s still hard to see the ground go from lush green plants to barren dirt. But, we plant and water, and the Lord will cause it to grow! (1 Cor 3:6)

And, though hard work, planting is fun for even the littlest helpers.

We’re planning a whole summer of Bible lessons, songs, food, and games for these kids, and more, in India. We’ll have an indoor space to keep cool, lots of food and snacks, and so much love to pour out on them!

This weekend in the States is Father’s Day! I want to honor the fathers, both natural and spiritual, who show the Father’s love to those the Lord has entrusted to them. Jack would teach that we tend to view the Lord the way we view our earthly fathers, which makes this one of the most important roles in life. Thank you!

And for everyone, no matter what type of earthly father you’ve had, I pray you experience the love of the Lord so clearly this weekend. He is a perfect Father, full of only patience and love toward you. He wants you to hear His voice (John 10:27), and know He is always with you (Matt 28:20). And He offers you abundant life, peace, joy, and love. He wants you to come to Him with every problem you have, and receive His strength, and assurance that it will all be okay—that He’s working it all for good! (Rom 8:28)

If you don’t already get our emails, you can get this weekly update, and other content you choose in your email, fill out our form. We’ve added more options to customize how you receive this. I explained the process in this post.

And thank you so much for being a part of this ministry. I’m so grateful for all your prayers, support, and words of encouragement. We couldn’t do any of this without you. Happy weekend!

God bless you!
Samantha
