Gracethrufaith After The Rapture?

Published: November 11, 2013 (Originally published: November 12, 2013)
Q

I look forward every day to visiting your site. I also am excited to watch the signs appear that point to how soon the Rapture is coming. My question is, will this site still be around after we all are gone? I have made a file in my legal papers which I have printed out several of your articles to save for my unbelieving family members to find. I am wondering if they will be able to access this site too. I do hope so.

OSAS Ad Infinitum

I can’t decide if you are right that we have eternal security, or if (another website) is right and we can lose it for bad behavior. If it does turn out that you are wrong, that is a terrible burden to bear.

What Do I Do Now?

Published: March 23, 2023 (Originally published: March 9, 2009)
Q

First off I would like to say that I have recently found your website and have enjoyed reading it a lot! I have been searching your site for answers and have found many, however, I still have questions.

At one point not long ago, I was convinced that you could lose your salvation. However, after finding your site I have read numerous posts and verses that state to the contrary and now am convinced that you can not lose your salvation (PRAISE GOD!) My question now is: even though I am eternally secure and will go to Heaven, I feel as if I am at a loss at what I am expected to do on Earth. My issue is that I don’t feel as if I am grateful enough. Don’t get me wrong, I am glad that I will be spending eternity with Jesus in Heaven, but I feel that I should be more than just glad. To me, grateful means having the desire to go WAY out of your way to do something for someone even if it is a HUGE inconvenience. I truly want to serve God, I just don’t feel I know how. Any insight would be appreciated.

Together For Life, Separate For Eternity?

Published: August 23, 2007 (Originally published: August 23, 2007)
Q

If a couple have been married for over 50 years, and have been faithful and loving toward each other, but the husband is not a believer (although he has said he ‘would like to believe, as everything would make sense then’) and the wife is a believer, are they to be separated at death, and one go to heaven while the other goes to hell?

How could God do that? Surely what he has joined together should not be ‘put asunder’? How could the wife ever be happy in heaven knowing that her husband with whom she shared her whole life and who she loved with all their heart has gone to hell simply because he could not believe?

These people are my dear parents. I am a born-again Christian living in the same house with them. I pray frequently for them. Surely, surely, God in all his love and mercy could not, would not separate them for all eternity after death…….????

Your thoughts on this would be most welcome, as it is causing me great concern.

More On The Holy Spirit After The Rapture

Published: September 29, 2010 (Originally published: September 28, 2010)
Q

In your answer to a question about the Holy Spirit you said, “After we’re raptured, we’ll no longer need the Holy Spirit to be sealed within us, since the event His presence guaranteed will have taken place. During the 70th week the Holy Spirit, having been released from the Church, will resume a ministry on Earth similar to the one He performed in Old Testament times. ” This scares me.

Adam did not have a sin nature, he was sinless. I don’t think that he wanted to sin in the beginning. He was without the Holy Spirit and he sinned to his destruction. Lucifer did not have a sin nature, he was sinless, and he sinned to his destruction. If the Holy Spirit is not needed because we have a sinless nature and don’t desire to sin, but leaves us to return to earth, how long can it be before we end up like Lucifer and Adam with a new mess on our heads for which there is no more sacrifice? Doesn’t forever mean forever?

Emergent Church

Q

Again thank you so much for your knowledge and faith.

I have a question regarding the rapid growth of the emergent church and I wonder if you could explain this movement to me in more detail. I had always thought that the real Church would be the one falling away from the false teachings going on in organized religion today. Not falling away from OUR FATHER, but false religion. Thanks again.

Have We Misunderstood?

Published: February 6, 2020 (Originally published: February 6, 2011)
Q

I have a question regarding the doctrines of eternal security and also the rapture. It seems very clear that these are biblical, but looking at what the early Church believed creates conflict for me. I know that the Bible is the final authority, but if Christians this soon after the cross believed in loss of salvation, works righteousness, etc. could we be wrong in your interpretation of God’s word? What’s also unnerving is just how many people are like that today. Some even say that OSAS and the rapture are only very modern ideas. What is the explanation for this?
