Catholic Christians. Follow Up

Q

In your article ” Catholic Christians” you say that you believe that some Mormons will also make it in the Rapture. On what do you base this? Mormons are not Christian. They believe that Satan and Jesus are brothers. Could it be a typo in your article?

Will We See Our Unborn Babies In Heaven?

Published: June 19, 2006 (Originally published: June 19, 2006)
Q

My wife and I were talking about the differences in her family between her three siblings and herself. I recalled that my mother lost at least three babies in miscarriages before I was born, and one following my birth. My wife and I also had a miscarried baby lost early in our marriage. We have always believed that we would see our unborn baby once we get to heaven.

Is there reason to believe this is true? If so, will I be reunited with my siblings once in heaven? What will they be like? I am a middle aged man now. Will they be adults or babies? Or will we all be ageless?

Also, a good friend of mine lost his 5 year old in a terrible accident. However, he and his family are Mormons. His child was taught in the Mormon tradition until his death at 5 years old. Will that child be in heaven? Same goes for many, many little children who die before the so called age of accountability.

I appreciate you taking the time to answer this question.

Mormons In The Rapture?

Published: May 28, 2013 (Originally published: May 27, 2013)
Q

Re: Catholic Christians. Follow Up. We totally disagree with you on this issue dealing with Mormons in the Rapture. It is scary to stand up for Jesus when your family and friends think otherwise, but every Christian is called to do just that. The Lord made it clear that if we denied Him because we were on the spot, here on earth, He would deny us before His Father in Heaven. This is not a case of judging others, merely repeating what our Lord himself has said.

Is My Friend Saved?

Published: April 19, 2009 (Originally published: April 18, 2009)
Q

I have a Mormon friend who believes and practices everything her church teaches her. I have witnessed to her many times but to no avail. After sending her bible tracts and dozens of online articles pointing out failed prophecies by past Mormon elders, and being continually ignored, I feel it is time for me to step aside. Perhaps someone else will manage to convince her of what I couldn’t. My question is this: if, for some reason, she never does change her viewpoint and dies with her same beliefs, is she saved?

Was My Baptism Voided?

Published: February 7, 2023 (Originally published: February 2, 2012)
Q

I accepted Jesus Christ as my Savior when I was 16 years old and got baptized in water. However about 7 years ago I found myself in a different city and couldn’t find a Christian church close enough to where I lived. One day I met some really nice people from a Mormon church and was so amazed at how their main focus was the family that I decided to attend their church. Eventually I ended up getting baptized since they told me that my first baptism was not a proper one and I was still not saved. I since have found a Christian church and found my way back to God. Do I need to get baptized again? What if the baptism in the Mormon church robbed me of my salvation and I need to get baptized again because the first one was voided?

I Converted, My Husband Didn’t

Published: September 28, 2015 (Originally published: July 8, 2008)
Q

Five years ago I left the Mormon faith because I came to receive Christ as my Saviour. I was and still am married to a Mormon man. In my heart I feel that I should follow scripture and stay with the unbeliever I am married to, since divorce is not approved by God. But scripture also says to be not yoked with unbelievers.

My husband has no qualms about me being a believer, but prohibits me from talking “religion” in the home, or discussing it with his family. (He is a non-participating member of his church) I sometimes feel very restricted about sharing the “good news” of Jesus because of my husband. I feel it is Biblically correct to follow his request since he is the head of the home.

I do not want to cause problems concerning the marriage because I also feel that by staying in the marriage, God may be using me to reach my husband. Sometimes I feel like I am between a rock and a hard place. Could you please share some insight concerning this situation? I would very much appreciate some input.

Is There Life Before Life?

Jeremiah 1:5 states the Lord knew Jeremiah before He formed him in the womb. Are there any more verses in scripture that show we were with God in spirit form before we were born?
