Are The Jews In The Promised Land Forever?
Published: July 14, 2016I was speaking with a friend and fellow believer about the signs that the end times are upon us. When I mentioned that the holy land and Jerusalem were back in Jewish hands as one of the signs, he wondered out loud if there could be another dispersal of the Jews and then another regathering in the future. We agreed that it was highly improbable but I wanted to ask you if there is prophetic Scripture which tells us that once the holy land is re-occupied by God’s people, they are there to stay.
Comparing Matt. 24 And Luke 21
Published: July 10, 2016I’m trying to reconcile Luke 21 and Matt. 24 to each other, but they seem to be telling two different stories. I know the bible can’t contradict itself. Am I doing something wrong?
Two Resurrections
Published: July 10, 2016In Matthew 27:52-54 we see a resurrection of saints, either OT or those saved during Jesus earthly ministry who passed away. Am I correct in teaching that the first resurrection is a kind of resurrection (resurrection unto, or of life) and not just the number order, although it is that as well, and that there are phases to it?
Is My Husband Saved?
Published: July 10, 2016My husband went to the altar and asked for salvation about 11 years ago. He told me he was born again. He does not read God’s Word, refuses to listen to any of the Christian shows I watch, and will not talk or let me talk about anything religious.
I have to drag him to church where he sits and sighs about being pulled away from his day. He thinks I am crazy for believing in the Rapture and thinks that the world will recover from all that is happening and it will go on just as it always has. I have prayed daily for him to draw closer to God as I feel time is very short. Is he saved and will he be raptured? If not, how should I go about convincing him that he needs to wake up and see that God is real and our time on earth is short?
The Living Water
Published: July 10, 2016Can you please tell me what is meant by the phrase living water as referenced in John 4:10? I am confused as to whether it refers to Jesus or The Holy Spirit. Thank you and be blessed.
Who Are The Elect In Matt. 24?
Published: July 10, 2016I have been thinking a lot about Matthew 24:24 ” For false messiahs and false prophets will appear and perform great signs and wonders to deceive, if possible, even the elect.” Who are the “elect” and if it is us as followers of Christ does he mean that we will not be here for the deception by saying “if possible”.
No Such Thing As Coincidence?
Published: July 10, 2016You have said some things that happen are the predictable consequences of our own actions or those of someone else, while others are coincidental. My pastor always taught us there is no such thing as coincidence or luck, just God. If God knows everything down to the numbers of the hairs on our head then explain what you mean by coincidence, because I am confused. If there can be such a thing as coincidence that tells me God can’t be in charge of every little thing and I want to believe He is and that there are no accidents in life or things that can’t be explained.
The Covenant Relationship. Follow Up
Published: July 10, 2016Your article “The Covenant Relationship” contains the following: Long before we were born the Father and the Son entered into a covenant on our behalf. Our Father said to Jesus, “Son, if you’ll die for them I’ll forgive them.” Jesus replied, “Father, if you’ll forgive them I’ll die for them.” And so the Everlasting Covenant was formed. Can you please tell me what reference is being quoted?
Tithing And Giving
Published: July 10, 2016My pastor said if you don’t tithe, then you’re not a Christian and aren’t saved. Why does the Old Testament speak of tithing and New Testament speaks only of giving?
More On Saturday Vs. Sunday Worship
Published: July 10, 2016The pastor at my church keeps preaching that Sunday is the “Christian Day” of worship and gathering. He says that we worship on this day because this was the day that the Lord resurrected. He also claims that God has commanded that this is the day that Christians are to worship and uses scripture like Acts 20:7 to show how the early church gathered on this day. I have read many things pointing out how the Pope was the one who made the decree to worship on Sunday and God actually made Saturday holy. What are your thoughts on this matter?
