Questions About The New Jerusalem

Published: May 22, 2016
Q

I have heard that once the 2nd coming and all judgments are completed, the New Jerusalem here on Earth will be the only habitat for the Jewish nation, which will be led by Christ. I was also told the Gentiles will be given supernatural bodies and we will have the ability to travel the universe at will, including making visits to the New Jerusalem, but not actually taking up residence there. What say you to this?

Who Are The Angels Of Rev. 2-3?

Q

Q. I love your site and I have always had an interest in the Book of Revelation. While reading it one day I came to the realization when the Lord is talking to the churches, it ACTUALLY says the angels of the churches. So my question is, it makes a difference if he’s talking to the angels of the church or the church directly themselves meaning believers. So what significance is it then and why is he speaking to the angels of the churches?

King Of The Whole Earth?

Q

I have been listening to your mp3 series on Daniel. I have a question on “earth ownership” and the authority to set up kingdoms. In Daniel 2:37,38 it is clear that God established Nebuchadnezzar as king, and in fact king of the earth. Also, Romans 13:1 states that the “authorities that exist are appointed by God.” However, in Matthew 4:8,9 Satan offers Jesus all the kingdoms of the world if he would worship him. I’m a little confused on how Satan can make his offer. What am I missing? Is Satan speaking of the spiritual forces behind the thrones?

Did God Create Evil?

Q

If God is the Creator of all things, the Omniscient, Omnipresent, Omnipotent One of all there is, was and ever will be, did He, in all of his Wisdom and Knowing, also create Evil? And if so, why? And, if He did not, why doesn’t God, who is all-powerful, destroy Evil?

Why Do We Need To Ask God To Forgive Us?

Published: May 12, 2016
Q

I am in a Church that teaches “The Grace ” message. That is that Christ died for the sins of the whole world, once and for all. There is no need to ask for forgiveness of sins, as all sins have been forgiven. All that’s needed is to believe in the Lord Jesus. As Jesus Himself said:” Believe in The One He has sent, and you will be saved.”

Why Did God Give The Law?

Published: May 12, 2016
Q

I would like to know why God gave the Law. Up to the time of Moses, people had a relationship built on faith. Other than the conclusion, “the law is to show up your sinful nature” why do you think God gave the Law?

Live By The Sword And Die By The Sword?

Published: May 12, 2016
Q

When I was younger I served in the Canadian military for a number of years and have always supported Canada’s military missions. It has been about 10 years since I came to Christ and ever since then I have been wondering if His statement on living by the sword is directed towards those who make their living in the armed forces. My pastor and many of my born-again friends espouse the idea of pacifism to such a level that it makes me wonder if I’m missing something. Are they correct in their belief that Jesus was a complete pacifist and that this is the idea He had always tried to teach us?

Unconditional And Everlasting

Q

I was reading your study on Abraham and Isaac and you say (regarding the covenant that God made with Abraham) that it “required no behavioral standards to remain in force.” Can you elaborate on that, or explain it another way. I’m not quite sure what that means. Thanks

Covered By The Blood

Published: May 12, 2016
Q

I was having a conversation with a bible study teacher from my church. When I said “covered by the blood” he said that I was not “theologically correct.” I was confused and he went on to explain to me that there is no blood to be covered by. Then he said the blood of Jesus was spilled and it is no more. It was a sacrifice before God and we are right with God because of it but we are not covered by it. Now, I believe that we are right with God only by accepting what Jesus did on the cross as payment for our sins and He purchased our salvation. My question is what about the scriptures that talk about His blood cleansing us?

When Did Jesus Know About The 2nd Coming?

Published: May 12, 2016
Q

I would appreciate your perspective on Jesus not knowing the day or hour of His second coming. It is my understanding that when Jesus became a Man he had to separate his divine nature from his human nature. Does this mean that when He was on earth His divine, infinite knowledge was not available to Him?
