Was Jesus Hinting At The Rapture?

Published: January 21, 2016
Q

I have been doing a study in the Gospel of John and when I came across John 11:21-26 my curiosity was piqued. Are Jesus’ words to Martha in verses 25-26 hinting at the Rapture?

“Jesus said unto her, I am the resurrection, and the life: he that believeth in me, though he were dead, yet shall he live: And whosoever liveth and believeth in me shall never die.”

The Same Gospel?

Q

At Mark chapter 1 verse 14 Jesus came preaching the gospel of the kingdom. Is this the same gospel that Paul preached in 1 Corinthians 15?

What Does If Mean? Follow Up

Published: January 21, 2016
Q

1 Cor. 15:2 says, “By which also ye are saved, if ye keep in memory what I preached unto you, unless ye have believed in vain.” This is a different “if” than the one you explained in your article “What Does If Mean?” The “if” used here is primary article of conditionality. Can you explain the “conditionality” of this “if”?

Life’s Most Important Choices. Follow Up

Published: January 21, 2016
Q

I read your article on Life’s Most Important Choices with great interest, but it only made me feel down. Either you make things look very easy or I’m still a long way from the Church because I’m not a bit humble, and many times I do not help others as you say we should. Instead, I’m in a constant battle against my lustful thoughts and my arrogance. Every single day I ask the Lord for His forgiveness, only to make the same mistakes again. For me, things are not as easy as you paint them. I’m living some hard times, I don’t have any friends, my wife calls me selfish, and my bosses are trying to do everything they can so I’ll go on my own so they won’t have to pay me all the money they would have to pay if they fired me. I had the hope of going in the Rapture, but it seems I’m not worthy of the Lord. What must I do?

Where’s The Temple Going To Be?

Published: January 21, 2016
Q

Your book, 7 Things You Have To Know To understand End Times Prophecy mentions the Coming Temple being located where a Tabernacle once stood in Shiloh but I don’t see how this can really take the place of the Temple Mount where both previous Temples stood. There is no doubt that God dwelt in King Solomon’s temple and while God is not confined to one place I really don’t see the any push for other sites being considered. While it is puzzling how the temple would escape destruction in the coming splitting of the Mt. of Olives, could the valley not extend all the way there in a straight line, but rather veer off on a tangent?

Is The Lord Telling Me Something?

Published: January 21, 2016
Q

I’ve been a born-again Christian for about 35 years and had the assurance of salvation. A few years after being saved, I was in bed with a married man having sex and had the experience of feeling a fluttering of a bird (Dove – representing the Holy Spirit) leaving my heart and flying away. Then about a year ago I had a very disturbing dream in which I realized I was in Hell, a hopeless, forlorn place. I started shouting “WHY AM I HERE? After a long silence, I heard the words “You are thinking wrong.” Is this the Lord telling me I’m going to Hell?

Believers And Followers

Published: January 21, 2016
Q

Have you ever done a study on Luke 14:33 and the surrounding text when Jesus was describing what it would take to be a true disciple? Was he talking only to the crowd in front of him or is it applicable today? Is he really asking us to give up everything or rather be willing to give up everything?

Moses, Satan, And Jude

Published: January 21, 2016
Q

I have a question about Jude’s comments on Satan arguing with the archangel Michael over the body of Moses and the fact that Moses might be one of the witnesses in Revelation. If God buried Moses and kept the burial place a secret (maybe it was so the Israelites wouldn’t “worship” the burial site and make an idol of it) why would Satan be so concerned? Since it is appointed once for man to die, do you think God knowing His plans for Moses during the tribulation would take Moses to heaven like He did Enoch and Elijah?

Belief By Faith

Published: January 21, 2016
Q

In an older post about the rapture you stated, “Only the Church is asked to believe solely by faith,” whereas OT believers and believers after the Rapture have had or will have evidence upon which to base their belief. All belief is a product of faith and many in the church have been the recipient or witness of miracles, had visions, or have had other evidence which brought them to faith. Would you care to comment on this?

Original Sin

Published: January 21, 2016
Q

Isn’t it true that we were all born into original sin. There are no ifs ands or buts about it. When Adam and Eve sinned in the Garden….their sin was passed along to us. So, there isn’t anyone who hasn’t sinned because we were born into the sins of our fathers.
