Is My Dream Catcher An Idol?
Published: July 28, 2015Recently I had a conversation with another Christian friend re dream catchers. Several years ago I worked on a Navajo Indian Reservation for one summer. During that time I bought many souvenirs. I found a beautiful dream catcher I liked so I bought it. It ended up hanging off my mantle in my downstairs family room. I really never gave it a lot of thought. My friend feels it’s something evil, like an idol I suppose. I never viewed it as such and certainly would never hang it over my bed hoping to filter out bad dreams. Did I use poor judgment in bringing it home?
Why Didn’t Martha Tell Mary?
Published: July 28, 2015Re: John 11:17-44. Since the narrative doesn’t state that Jesus asked Martha to find Mary for Him, did Martha simply lie to her sister Mary in this instance, or do you find evidence anywhere that Jesus did ask for Mary’s presence? If Martha lied to Mary, what was her reason or excuse?
Interpreting 1 Peter 2:9
Published: July 26, 2015Our pastor is vacationing, so an elder was preaching on the above scripture and giving it as evidence of the “New Israel”. I was so upset I left and told him quietly that it was a false liberal message. Was I wrong to leave? I couldn’t handle hearing this.
Ezekiel’s 430 Day Model
Published: July 26, 2015Could you explain the three hundred ninety days and forty days prophecy in Ezekiel 4:6. Does this apply to the regathering of Israel or the re-unification of Jerusalem or both?
Justifying Non-Belief
Published: July 26, 2015The following was posted on a message board I go to:
“I have been a Christian all my life and never considered giving up Christianity until now. My reason is found in the Bible itself. As much as I want to continue believing that Christianity is true, I feel that there is no getting around this passage.
Matthew 16:27-28:
“For the Son of Man is going to come in the glory of His Father with His angels, and will then repay every man according to his deeds. Truly I say to you, there are some of those who are standing here who will not taste death until they see the Son of Man coming in His kingdom.”
Would you have a specific response to this? Evidently the person has a problem that Jesus had not returned during the lifetimes of those He was speaking to. They don’t buy the transfiguration theory.
What Are The Signs That Indicate God Is Calling Us?
Published: July 26, 2015In one of your answers about God’s foreknowledge and predestination you said that God draws to Himself the persons He knows will choose Him. What are the signs that God is drawing somebody to Himself? If I see these signs could I be absolutely 100% sure that he/she will be born again in the end?
Believing Or Accepting?
Published: July 26, 2015What is the difference between believing and accepting? I’ve always thought I am saved because I believe Jesus died for my sins. But I hear others say they’re saved because they’ve accepted Jesus as their Savior. Is there a difference?
Second Chance After The Rapture?
Published: July 24, 2015Will people who are left behind after the rapture have another chance to accept Jesus as their Savior?
2 Sam. 7:14
Published: July 24, 2015In your book, The Redeemer, on page 86, you reference 2 Sam. 7:14 and write, “but since neither Solomon nor any other Davidic King was flogged by men for “doing wrong” there’s a lot more going on here than meets the eye. The wording casts shadows of the Messiah.” When I looked up this reference, scripture seems to be pointing to Solomon as the one to whom this prophesy is about. However, your wording on page 86 seems to lead the reader to infer that you are referring to Jesus. Also, since Solomon did commit iniquities later in his life by taking all those wives and concubines, is there scripture that specifically states that he wasn’t chastened with the rod and stripes that would confirm what you wrote. It seems that 7:14 says the opposite, that he would be chastened.
How Can they Accept Him?
Published: July 23, 2015Prophetically speaking, if Israel–on the heels of the false peace brokered by the Anti-Christ–will then accept him as its long-awaited Messiah, then doesn’t that mean that the Anti-Christ has to be Jewish by race , religion, and heritage? There’s so much talk today about the AC being Muslim, but wouldn’t Israel reject all but a Hebrew Messiah?
