Messianic Prophecy

Q

What evidence do we have that Old Testament prophecies we believe to be Messianic in nature are also considered to be Messianic Prophecies by the Jewish people? And if our versions of them are the same what is their reasoning for not accepting Jesus?

Did God Ever Stop Working?

Q

Re: John 5:19-21.  After Jesus healed the lame man at the pool of Bethesda and the Jews wanted his head for claiming he was God, He said that He did nothing of Himself but only what the Father does.  It appears in these verses in John 5 that the Father was doing independent work of His own.  So even though He equipped Jesus to do the work while on earth, the Father was also busy working Himself?

According to the great commission we are to make disciples of all nations, Christ doesn’t say to issue alter calls at Church. How do you square this up with so called easy-believism?

Adam And Jesus

Q

I’m aware that Adam was created in God’s image (Genesis 1:27) and that Jesus is the bodily representation of God (Colossians 1:15). Does it seem Biblically accurate that Jesus and Adam resembled each other? In a sense like twins?  Or is it more of a Spiritual imagery?

What was the first light? The one that illuminated the first day of creation.  The sun, moon, an stars weren’t made until day four.  The word for Light differs from that of the light of the sun and moon.

Rapture Sighting

Q

When Jesus appears in the clouds and we are translated, will anyone on earth see Him? When we are changed “in the twinkling of an eye”, does that also mean that immediately we are in heaven, or are we still with him in the clouds at that moment and then taken to heaven? Do you believe then that anyone on earth will be witness to anything but our absence?
