Should I Declare Bankruptcy?
Published: June 11, 2015I’d like your help regarding a decision to declare bankruptcy. I have about $10,000 in credit card, medical and misc bills. I am on social security disability and after paying bills I’m not left with much to live on. Would it be sinful for me to go ahead with a bankruptcy to get out from under this mess I got myself into? I’ve asked the Lord’s forgiveness for the ways I’ve spent my money but I feel a little uneasy about it. I’d really like to be responsible and pay off my debt instead of taking the easy way out. But I know it would take a long time and I’m already very discouraged about it.
Why Do They Have To Wait?
Published: June 11, 2015I have often wondered about this: Believers who have died during the Church Age will be resurrected and receive new bodies (incorruptible and immortal) at the same time, as when we are raptured (1 Cor. 15:51-53). Why only then, for those believers, who are already in heaven? I always believed that after we die, we are immediately with Christ in heaven. To be in heaven, I presume we need to be perfect, without “spot or blemish” etc. In other words, with new perfect bodies. Why is it then, that those believers who died in Christ, before the rapture, only get their new incorruptible bodies, when we get ours, when raptured, meeting them with Christ in the air?
This World Or The Next One?
Published: June 11, 2015I am having trouble with a particular teaching of Jesus when He says, “He who loves his life will lose it, and he who hates his life in this world will keep it for eternal life.” What does this mean?
The Bilderberg Group
Published: June 10, 2015What do you think about the Bilderberg Group that is rearing its head recently? Do you see it tied into any prophecy or last days?
Christ Followers
Published: June 10, 2015Our church recently hired a new lead pastor who has truly reinvigorated our congregation. Attendance is up and there is an energy present which has been lacking for many years. My question is this; I have never heard him use the term “Christians” or “believers”. He instead uses the term “Christ followers” to describe the body. For some reason this is very unsettling to my spirit. To me there is a big difference between a follower and a believer. Am I being unfair, or is there a difference? Paul said plainly in Acts, “believe on the Lord Jesus Christ and you will be saved”. Thank you for your help with this.
In The Clouds?
Published: June 10, 2015Paul said that Born Again believers would be caught up with Jesus in the Clouds. My thinking is that at the time of the Rapture the whole Earth can’t be full of clouds at the same time of the day!! Can you tell me what exactly are these Rapture Clouds?
Remembering Our Past
Published: June 9, 2015I have read your explanations of how when we see the Lord we will know as we are known, meaning we will understand all things. So, does that indicate that Christians who have wrongly believed in faith-based evolution, or incorrect eschatology will find out that they did, in fact have it wrong? I hear lots of people say that God will wipe our memories, but since it matters to Him what we believe, I can’t believe that we will suddenly have no recollections of our beliefs and actions here on earth.
Unequally Yoked And Frustrated
Published: June 9, 2015I am unequally yoked–I am married to a very non-religious Jewish man, whom I love tremendously, but who does not share my Christian views for obvious reasons. I am in a difficult situation vis a vis the unequal yoking. The Lord has laid a burden of care on me for the lost of Asia, in particular the people of India. I want to sponsor the work of Gospel for Asia, but my husband does not. I am in need of your insight and advice. I have made arrangements to do volunteer work for GFA (which costs nothing and, hence, is not much of a bone of contention.) But besides volunteering, I don’t see that I have any other options.
Please Comment On Matthew 7:5-7
Published: June 8, 2015Would you comment on Matthew 7:5-7, “Give not that which is holy unto the dogs, neither cast ye your pearls before swine, lest they trample them under their feet, and turn again and rend you.”
Sometimes when I talk to a nonbeliever about the Bible and they totally reject the gospel this verse comes to my mind. Am I taking it out of context? Would you share your thoughts about this verse?
Infancy Scriptures
Published: June 8, 2015My question is about the so-called “Infancy Scriptures.” I saw a TV special on them and was surprised at how the Lord was depicted, supposedly as an angry and unruly child. The special said that Jesus had to learn how to master His emotions as any child would and that later He became a great leader. Do you buy any of this? What exactly are these “Infancy Scriptures”? They seem disrespectful to me!
