Regarding the question and answer “OSAS And Being Forced To Recant”, does that apply to those who would accept the mark of the beast under duress?

OSAS Anthology. Follow Up

Published: August 2, 2023 (Originally published: July 6, 2014)
Q

Re: OSAS Anthology. My question is this; why would God allow his Spirit to influence some people to interpret some passages directed towards the prize (eternal rewards) as being interpreted as towards the gift (salvation.) Why would God’s world allow such debate amongst the church only widening the gap in our like-mindedness and unity? Why would God allow someone to incorrectly understand something that is as important as their eternal security, allowing them to live a life fearful that a future sin may revoke their ticket to eternal life, which doesn’t seem like a peaceful existence to me at all, more of a burden by beliefs?

OSAS And Rev. 22:19

Published: May 16, 2023 (Originally published: May 25, 2013)
Q

I am a believer in eternal security (OSAS), however, sometimes I run into verses I cannot explain, like Rev 22:19. It seems to imply our names can be removed from the Book of Life. What is your take on this verse and its meaning? How does it fit in with OSAS? What would be taking away from the prophecy of this book?

OSAS And Phil. 2:12

Published: May 4, 2023 (Originally published: May 5, 2008)
Q

God bless Jack, and thank you always for what you do.

My question is simply, how do we reconcile eternal security, (Once Saved Always Saved) with verses like “work out your salvation through fear and trembling” (Philippians 2:12). My pastor whom I love very much and support does not believe in OSAS and he brought up this scripture in making that defense.

The Free Grace Movement

Published: December 30, 2022 (Originally published: December 16, 2012)
Q

I’ve recently had a discussion about sin and sin nature with fellow Christians. We disagreed on some issues, which is not all that unusual, but afterwards they defined some of my beliefs as those of the Free Grace Movement. Then they warned me this was dangerous. My understanding of this topic is somewhat limited and I wondered what you thought about Free Grace?

Fear Or Faith?

Published: April 1, 2016 (Originally published: April 9, 2016)
Q

Places like Psalm 25:12 & 14 speak of the fear of the Lord. Is it by fear then that we ultimately look toward Him for salvation?

Eternal Security For Tribulation Believers?

Published: February 27, 2016 (Originally published: February 29, 2016)
Q

You have stated that you feel the post rapture believers will be on their own when it comes to staying faithful to their belief in Christ as their Lord and Savior. In Revelation (7: 1-9) it says that the Angel of God will put a seal on the foreheads of the “servants of God”. It goes on to show that the 144,000 from the 12 tribes (Jews) were at least part of this group, but then it moves right into discussing the “multitude” in white robes that were “serving God and The Lamb” day and night.

I believe the multitude are the tribulation Saints and that they are being included in the group that were sealed on their foreheads by the Angel of God, identifying them as “servants of God”. Also, I don’t think the gentile Christians during this period would be left to suffer the stings of these demonic creatures of Rev. 9 so they must have the seal. In summary; I believe that the tribulation believers will not be able to lose their salvation. Do you disagree with this?

Believers Who Don’t Care About Sin?

Published: November 22, 2023 (Originally published: November 13, 2014)
Q

When believers choose to live sinful lifestyles (i.e. have an attitude of I do not care whether I sin or not, since I love sin and it is my lifestyle), does that mean they would reject eternal security if their intent is to live a sinful lifestyle? Or does it reveal that they are not truly saved?

Saved By Our Beliefs?

Published: October 2, 2024 (Originally published: September 7, 2006)
Q

In your article on Post-Church Salvation you wrote: “We’re saved by what we believe, not by how we behave.”

I have a problem with that. (Cults) believe what they believe, and they certainly are not right. (Maybe I am getting hung up on the definition of What, and How. Am I?) We have to believe what the Bible teaches…there is ONLY ONE WAY. What do you think?

Are There Some Children Who Aren’t Saved?

Published: November 27, 2007 (Originally published: November 27, 2007)
Q

I would like to hear your thoughts on the following question. Does the Bible teach or do you believe all children before the age of accountability will go to heaven or is it possible that only those that God foreknew would accept him had they lived longer would go to heaven? Thanks and may God continue to bless your ministry.
