I love your site and have referred many friends to you. My question is this: What was the point of Jesus going to Hades for those three days to preach to the unsaved dead? It’s not like they were going anywhere or getting a get-out-of-Hades pass or anything. So why even bother? Is it because they did not have the choice of a Savior before He died? And He was then giving them One? I don’t get the point of Him going there at all.

I have been asked to give a presentation on the 6 days of creation as well as the flood. One question that comes up that is shared between the two accounts is: just what is the difference in the breath of life as it pertains to mankind (Genesis 2:7) and the animals (Genesis 6:17). What it SEEMS to indicate is that when God breathed the breath of life into man, a soul and spirit(man’s) were formed. However when this same breath of life was breathed into anything other than man, the result was a soul only, no spirit. I’m confused.

“This whole country will become a desolate wasteland, and these nations will serve the king of Babylon seventy years. But when the seventy years are fulfilled, I will punish the king of Babylon and his nation, the land of the Babylonians, for their guilt,” declares the LORD, “and will make it desolate forever.”

In your discussion about Babylon, you state that Babylon will be revived. Is that not contradictory to the above passage that states that Babylon will be desolate forever.

I’ve always thought (and been taught) during the Tribulation the Roman Catholic Church would be the religious system of the antichrist. However, in recent days, as I listen to the news and do research on the Internet, I’m hearing more and more how Islam is gaining a hold in Europe and even in America, with all the universities and mosques springing up almost overnight, and with the Muslim leaders’ talk of conquering the world. What are your thoughts on Islam being the religious system of the antichrist during the tribulation vs. the Roman Church?

I have been looking at the 109th Psalm. I know it’s about Israel and not David. Can this be about the anti-christ, as some are saying? I have to wonder if it is because the anti-christ is slain by the breath of Jesus and the millennial reign begins.

I’ve studied many positions concerning the rapture and would like you to answer why so many people feel that a rapture of the church must happen before the tribulation and Christ’s Return.

There are two parables where Jesus taught about the wheat and tares and the ten virgins carrying their lamps. The first parable suggests that the tares are gathered and burned before the wheat is stored, suggesting the good will reside with the evil until the harvest and judgment. The second parable suggests that 5 faithful virgins wait for the groom while the other 5, while apparently followers at first…give up and miss the Lords return.

There are many Christians who are expecting a rapture because religious leaders are preaching it as fact. What will happen if they aren’t raptured and all hell is poured out on earth?

Does Isaiah 26:19 also support the resurrection of the Old Testament saints at Christ’s second coming or is this passage speaking about the nation of Israel’s restoration/salvation?

I plan on leaving with the other Raptured Saints, but what about those ‘left behind?’ What if the World Health Organization or some other official group forces them to be branded or inoculated with the mark of the beast against their will? What if they are fighting against the mark, being held down, etc. Will God hold this against them?

Do you think that 1 Thes. 3:13 is a passage talking about what John describes in Rev. 19 as the second coming with the saints, or do you think this is a rapture passage talking about Jesus coming to bring the souls of the brethren back with him?

Re: Will There Be Enough Room? You said there would be plenty of room in the New Jerusalem for the approx. 2.74 billion people that would live there. I agree that there will be enough room as I am sure God knows what He is doing. My question is, did you mean from the time of the cross until the rapture there are approx. 2.74 billion souls included in the rapture/resurrection? That just seems like a low number to me.
