Looking Upon The Unsaved Dead

Published: April 13, 2009
Q

Your series from Isaiah was very interesting. Thanks for all the effort you must have put into it.

I read in Isaiah not long ago where, I think during the millennium, that people will walk past the burning lake of fire, and will look at those suffering and be reminded of what happens to those who don’t accept god’s grace. It’s in Isaiah 66:24 and you quoted it at the end of the conclusion.

Do we have to look at this? I don’t care to see it myself.

Did God Judge The Sea Creatures?

Published: April 12, 2009
Q

Why did God not judge the sea creatures when the whole earth was defiled because of the wickedness of man (Genesis 6:5, 17-20). Is it because Noah’s ark was the first ship that was built upon the earth so that the seas were undefiled by the presence of man over it? And also in those days the sea and the land were separated perfectly during the creation of the earth. God had the whole waters under the heaven gathered together in one place and then there was one dry land.

He called the dry land “Earth”, the other part which was “the gathering together of waters He called Seas” (Gen 1:9-10). Does the fall at the garden of Eden and the resultant curse is only upon the dry land ‘the Earth’ and not on the sea and the creatures that live in it (Gen 3:17-19). If this is right, why did the word of God say, “…the whole creation groans and labors with birth pangs together [with man] until now..” (Rom 8:22) which includes the Sea and its creatures?

Who Is The Group In Rev. 7?

Published: April 6, 2009
Q

First I love your website!!! Very informative and has helped me so much in my study in end times prophecy! I used to be very uneasy about end times prophecy but now that I have accepted Christ into my heart, I don’t fear anymore!!! I know I have a one way ticket! Amen! I have a question regarding Rev. 7:9. I am in a current debate with a non-believer of the pre-trib rapture. He insists that those mentioned in verse 9 are the church, still here on earth, therefore no rapture.

I had always thought that those mentioned in verse 9 were those martyred for their newfound faith in Christ by rejecting the Mark of the Beast.

Subsidizing North Korea

Q

In Romans 12:20, the Bible says “Therefore, If your enemy is hungry, feed him; If he is thirsty, give him a drink; For in so doing you will heap coals of fire on his head.” Does this mean that we should continue to give free food to Kim Jong Il’s regime, even though we know it is only going to feed Party officials and the North Korean Army. Without this food, it is unlikely the regime could feed its army for long, meaning it might collapse. In effect, we are propping up the regime and prolonging the suffering of the millions enslaved in North Korea by obeying the Bible. I’m in quite a quandry over this. Do you know what we should do?

Post Rapture Salvation

Published: April 5, 2009
Q

I was reading your article about the nature of post-rapture salvation. The Holy Spirit will be removed from the earth, and everyone will be responsible for maintaining their own faith in God in order to be saved.

However, I am confused as to how this works (and I suppose this question applies to Old Testament believers, as well); what would be the “threshold”, so to speak, at which one loses salvation? How could that be measured? How would temple sacrifices play into that? And one could “lose” his/her salvation and then “regain” it later?

And one must believe in man’s need for a savior and that Jesus Christ is that savior?

Of course, being church-age believers has left us with no need to worry about these issues – because the Holy Spirit is sealed within us, we’re forever saved in spite of what we do after. That’s why the concept of maintaining your own faith in order to be saved sounds strange to me.

One last question – does a post-rapture believer simply have to maintain faith, or would they have to “behave” as well? If such a person sinned profusely during the day (which is another idea I’m confused about…sin is sin and there’s not really any “measure” of it) but genuinely confessed and asked for forgiveness every night (and still truly believed in Christ anyway), would the person be saved?

Will The Days Be Shorter Or Darker?

Published: April 4, 2009
Q

I read an article the other day that presented a different idea about the darkening of the sun, moon, and stars.

He said the earth may tilt on its axis and it’s rotation may speed up, causing the earth to go into a 16 hour day…a loss of 8 hours or 1/3 of a day.

With the polar shift that is predicted for 2012, would you agree this is a possibility for the scripture in revelation concerning the loss of 1/3 of the night sky?

The Timing Of Psalm 83 And Ezekiel 38

Thank you so much for your websight, I look forward to it everyday. I have learned so much since I started reading what you have to say. My question is will Psalm 83 and Ezekiel 38 occur after the rapture?

Understanding Revelation 17:11

Q

I was hoping you could give me your understanding of Rev. 17:11.

“And the beast that was, and is not, even he is the eighth, and is of the seven, and goeth into perdition.”

Thank you and God bless.
