More On Our Crowns

Published: May 16, 2024
Q

I don’t know about you but I feel like I’m going to be the only Christian without a crown. I’m not sure I’ve ever done anything without some sort of hidden selfish motive. Even when I think I’m being selfless, just thinking that suddenly ruins everything. I guess I’ll just be grateful finally being with the Lord. That will be my reward. Being sinless and being with him is reward in itself. I can’t wait!!!

Villages Without Walls?

Q

We hear a lot about a village without walls and we expect to see a dis-arming of Yisrael before everything gets going. But what if: the village without walls is attained thru deception and pressure and Yisrael leaves itself totally open to attack by bowing to the pressure to pacified the Edomites?

Proverbs 31 Author

Q

My Sunday school class is beginning a quick study in Proverbs. My teacher asked if I could summarize Proverbs 31 in a couple of weeks so I am doing some research. I have found a couple of ideas as to the identity of King Lemuel and wondered what your take on this is. Some say that Lemuel was a “pet name” that Bathsheba had for her son, and this is her instructions to Solomon. Others I have read think that he is an unknown Jewish king, while others say that he was a king long before Solomon – possibly someone from Ishmael lineage. I would really like to have your opinion. Thank you for your ministry, I learn so much.

Judah And Joseph

Q

I was wondering if there was any special reason the story of Judah and Tamar in Genesis 38 was put in there, it seems such an interruption of the story of Joseph and just doesn’t seem to fit.

Did Paul Write To The Laodicean Church?

Published: May 10, 2024
Q

In Colossians 4:16 Paul references the church at Laodicea and directs them to not only read his letter to the Colossians there but also that the Colossians read the letter from Laodicea. What letter was written from Laodicea and why do you think he was so emphatic about both letters being read by both churches?

What Was Jesus Saying To The Laodicean Church?

Published: May 9, 2024
Q

The Bible talks about the church of Laodicea and how they thought they had everything when they did not have Jesus and Jesus is standing at the door and knocking. It seems to me like these people were not truly saved or else why is he at the door. But Jesus throws in a twist and says, “God corrects those who he loves so be zealous and repent”, and many people use that phrase to say that these people are Christians who will go to Hell if they do not repent. What did Jesus mean by that statement?

Noah’s Ark And The Ark Of The Covenant

Published: May 7, 2024
Q

I’m not sure if you are familiar with the discoveries of Ron Wyatt (a Biblical Researcher/Archaeology), which are believed to include the remains of Noah’s Ark, Sodom and Gomorrah and also the Ark of the Covenant (apparently he received a supernatural indication that the Ark of the Covenant was buried in a cave under the hill where Jesus was likely to have been crucified, hence making literal the notion of Jesus blood covering the Ark).

Do you think that these discoveries have been orchestrated by God to provide some evidence to the world of His existence? I would be particularly interested to know if the claims about the positioning of the Ark of the Covenant are credible…what do you think?

Nails In The Lord’s Hands Or Wrists?

Published: May 6, 2024
Q

While I firmly believe that Jesus was crucified and rose again, most literature I’ve read about the actual crucifixion process has the nails driven through the wrists. This was to ensure that the arms were held securely and thus prolong the person’s agony.

However, in the Gospels, Thomas places his fingers through the holes in Jesus’s hands. Thus indicating that Jesus was crucified through the palms of his hands. Plus every image I’ve seen depicting the crucifixion has the nails through the palms.

I’ve been curious about this for some time, and while it has no real relevance to what Jesus did, I’ve often wondered about it. So I was wondering what your view on this is.

The Accuracy Of The New Testament

Published: May 6, 2024
Q

I enjoyed your article “Who’s Laughing Now?” and your response to “disproving the bible”. I hear many different skepticism’s regarding the bible and its historical accuracy. Some include the idea that the bible has been translated many times, and that there wasn’t any paper “back then” so how could the text have been saved?

One book titled “Quoting Jesus”, claims original manuscripts have been lost, and what remains of the bible is just translations that people use for their own gain. Could you elaborate on what remains of the original manuscripts and how the bible has been proved to be an accurate replica of what was first written?

Spirits Resting In The Grave?

Published: May 6, 2024
Q

The Bible says at the Rapture, upon Jesus’ return the dead will arise first and then those of us that are saved and still living at that time will be raised next. Does this mean that our ancestors’ spirits are presently at rest in the grave?
