Thank you for this great ministry. It has been a huge help to me and many others to whom I print and pass along your writings. I was wondering if you had heard the news that a temple was being built in Mitzpeh Yericho. It is being billed as a exact replica of the ancient temple and will be used for training those who will serve in the new temple. To me a exact replica is the temple. It will be around ten miles east of Jerusalem but I think it’s along the route of the great valley that will be created when Jesus’ feet touch down. Could this be the temple of the tribulation? I would love to hear your thoughts on this.
Mitzpeh Yericho is located in the Judean desert 20 kilometers east of Jerusalem, off the highway leading down to the Dead Sea. What’s being built there is a replica of the 2nd Temple to be used for the purpose of training priests and levites in the conduct of Temple services. Some religious officials in Israel call this a step toward the third Temple, but as far as I can tell no one there considers it to be the third Temple itself.
I liken it to the various replicas of the oval office that have been built for use in the movies and on TV. Although they look exactly like the one in Washington DC, no knowledgeable official would mistake any of them for the seat of our nation’s government. In the same way no one should mistake this training facility for the real 3rd Temple.
