My wife and I have been seriously considering a move away from United States. We feel for some reason that this is what God is calling us to do although we do not know yet where he will be sending us. Is there anything in the Bible that would lead us to better understand this direction we feel from God?
In the Old Testament, faithful believers from the Northern kingdom moved to the Southern Kingdom to escape the idolatry that had taken root there (2 Chron. 11:16-17). In the New Testament Aquila and Priscilla moved from Rome after the Emperor Claudius ordered all Jews to leave (Acts 18:1-3). Throughout the Church Age many American couples have relocated into the mission field in response to the Great Commission (Matt. 28:18-20). Through continued prayer, the Lord will disclose both your destination and the purpose of the desire He has placed in your heart to relocate.
