Q. Why should we study Solomon’s 3 books of the Bible when he turned from God our Father to worship false gods?
A. Solomon was given great wisdom. During his reign Israel enjoyed the highest point of their peace and prosperity.
Because of his wisdom Solomon felt free to violate God’s law and this is what brought the kingdom to ruin. The lesson here is that no man in indispensable to God. He can raise up whoever He chooses and He can put down whoever He chooses. This was certainly the case with Solomon.
Even so, in Solomon’s books you’ll find some of the greatest treasures of wisdom contained anywhere in the Bible. And because they’re in the Bible, we know that they were supernaturally inspired by the Holy Spirit. Therefore it’s not just Solomon’s wisdom we’re getting, it the wisdom of God.
