Flash flooding in our village in India and updates on our prayer requests.

Happy Friday, GTF fam! ♥ I’m so excited to share our outreaches with you this week!
Flash flooding!
Our village got hit by terrible flash floods! Praise God, everyone is okay! Flash floods are scary! Most times we have a build up with a long day of rain before the village floods, but this time it was so fast! They lost so many belongings that were outside. They just got swept away so quickly. The roads were immediately closed, and our volunteers couldn’t get in. Thankfully, the cell network was up, and so they could talk back and forth with our volunteers and send pics, and we could make a plan for when we could get in.
Waters receding
This is always a joyous time, but it’s also when different dangers begin because of the tainted water everywhere. Please continue to pray for our group here. We are so close to having a safe secure place for them. We are still waiting for the official authorization allowing them to begin work at the new land! ♥
Groceries to everyone
The first matter of business was getting everyone food!
We brought groceries in as soon as the roads opened and made sure each family had groceries. We met together and prayed and thanked the Lord for keeping everyone safe.
After the roads were opened, they went to the government offices again to check on the paperwork. We are still waiting for the official authorization before we can begin work at the new land. Please pray with us for this. We are so close! It’s such a comfort to be so close to having a safe, secure place for them. During the flooding, the developer who has been harassing them this whole time was again putting pressure on them to leave. Our volunteer reminded them that unless they have a government authorization making them leave, they are to stay until we have the authorization for them to be in the new place.
Praying for Laxmi
Laxmi continues her cancer treatment. Thank you so much for keeping her in prayer. She is struggling, but she’s so strong and hopeful.
Rebecca
This little one has also been through so much pain as well, and we’re so grateful for how she’s come through it!
Visiting Joel
Our volunteer got to go to his school for a special day.
This boy in the wheelchair has polio. He asked, why does he not have legs when others do? Our volunteer said this little one’s pure question brought tears to his eyes, and the boy then asked why it made him cry. He replied because I have legs, and you do not. He said he didn’t know how to respond. And I agreed, how can you respond to the suffering of children, but with tears? ♥
Joel has been teaching his classmates to pray before meals and before bed. The teacher said that when she asked him why he prays, he said because he is grateful, and he wants to express it. ♥
Please pray with us for Christmas for these kids. We’d love to be able to give them Bibles for Christmas!
Our school classes
