Week in review February 23 2019

Our outreaches continue in India and Mexico! And on the site, as always, we’re learning the Word. Continue reading for photos from our outreaches this week as well as a recap of all the posts on the site.

It’s been a busy week for us in India!

I was amazed during my visit to see all the new kids and families who are a part of our church now! It started with just a little village the Lord prompted us to help (and even that began with Him prompting us to help one person), and word has spread that there is a place to come to experience love and peace and joy that only Jesus can bring!

We learned that many of the families walk four miles each way to come to our church. So one afternoon this week our volunteers went to them!

The kids wanted to learn what our kids have learned and to pray like the other kids in our church pray. You’ve seen the photos, these kids have a special relationship with the Lord and pray with confidence and expectation.

I believe this is still the fruit of our VBS last year where our kids, about 25 at the time, brought over 70 kids for a full week of VBS activities. They are so excited about what the Lord has done for them and share that will all the kids they know.

They share with such love that families from other backgrounds aren’t threatened, but encouraged and want to know Jesus like these kids know Jesus. It’s amazing and I’m so grateful to be a part of this!

So our amazing volunteer held a little Bible Study and prayer meeting with these new kids in their own village.

Scenes from our Sunday service:

There are many new kids in coming to our little church now! They see our kids so excited to memorize Bible verses and then share them each week, that they immediately joined in. Our volunteers are so proud of them and wanted to give them little gifts of encouragement.

While the US is experiencing snow where it usually doesn’t, it has been up in the 90s in India. You can see our classes outdoors in any shady spot we can find.

Each month we give rice to all the families. We have generous donors and want to make sure no one goes hungry. We were given extra to include a little grocery bag for each family this month! So we can include some protein and other staples.

This little one was sick, so we brought him to the hospital for treatment.

Here’s how we hold reading classes when there’s a power outage!
