Week in review March 16 2019

Our outreaches continue in India and Mexico!  And on the site, as always, we’re learning the Word. Continue reading for photos from our outreaches this week as well as a recap of all the posts on the site.

In India, we’re preparing for our Spring VBS in both our locations! In one area, (thousands of miles from our Children’s Church) where our work in India began more than a decade ago, we were given land with an old, partially built building on it for our outreaches! We are beginning to repair and complete the small building. You can see photos from our VBS outreach from last year here. Persecution is a big concern in this area. Please keep all our volunteers and the kids in your prayers.

Scenes from our Children’s Church

The kids are loving the Bible Study books we got for them! They are all learning to read, and learning the Bible and learning to color!

Sunday school classes. Our group is growing so quickly, we have outgrown the church building we rent! And we have outgrown our volunteer teachers! We have been blessed with the most amazing volunteers, and now we’re asking the Lord for two more! Please pray with us for two people who love Jesus, and children, and have a heart for the marginalized.

Because we’ve outgrown our building, we have services in shifts.

Each week, the kids jump up, excited to share a Bible verse they have memorized. When I was there in January, it was so fun to see how excited they are! Our volunteers have to encourage them to take turns because they are so excited to share what they’ve learned.

We are so blessed by the medical community in our area. Several of the kids have been sick, and the hospital sent doctors to bring medicine to us! Our volunteers spend a lot of time bringing the sick to the hospital and staying with them, so the doctors coming to us is a huge blessing!

Little Ammani (standing behind Joel on the bike) has recovered from Chicken Pox!

In honor of International Women’s Day, all our kids handed out roses to the women! It was a special time of honoring these amazing women. They have all been through more than most of us could imagine, and they work hard every single day to keep going. They have a love and a joy most of us in the western church only glimpse now and then. I am so proud of them, I am honored to know them, and humbled to be a part of their lives.

It has been very hot in India! We were so blessed to be able to get new fans!

Everyone was so excited for the fans, they thanked the Lord for the wonderful provision!

We gave milk packets to all the kids! The doctors have recommended we give them powdered milk each month to make sure they get the protein they need. The kids love it, so it works out wonderfully!

Our fellowship lunch:

Look at baby Simon, who was just released from the hospital! He was admittted last week with RSV, and after a few days of treatment is better!

Here he is with is Grandma and Mom.

Time of prayer:

We brought those who needed to see a doctor in to the hospital this week:

During the week, our volunteers met with the men, who want to have prayer meetings like the women do!

Thank you for keeping us, this ministry and our outreaches in prayer, and thank you for your support! We couldn’t do any of this without you.
