Week in review: June 27, 2020

We’ve just passed 100 days in quarantine!  I’m so grateful for your generosity. Our volunteers are working tirelessly to safely buy and deliver food to more people than we’ve ever served before. Thank you! On the site, we featured Jack’s studies, Are We Religious or Spiritual? and Bread & Wine, Symbols of a Covenant. Continue reading to see a glimpse from our outreaches this week as well as a recap of all the posts on the site.

*Housekeeping question: As our outreaches grow, these review posts are getting longer and longer. Would it be easier if I broke them up into multiple posts with one outreach per post? I compiled a list of the posts featuring little Joel for some new readers who knew his story was important but couldn’t find all the details. In doing this, I realized that you often have to scroll and scroll to find where I mention him in the review post. For those of you regulars, you’re in on the stories! But I realized that for new people, it’s hard to catch up. Any suggestions? Would you prefer multiple posts each week instead of one (very) long one? Please let me know. You can, email me, or fill out our contact form. Thank you! -Samantha

This week in the New Village

You guys, these little ones have our hearts. We pray for them every day. Our kids are praying for them. This week, we brought more bread. This time filled with a chocolate spread. Calories! We’ve already brought grains and beans and vegetables. And they can definitely use some calories. Love them!

Thank you for praying and loving and supporting these little ones. I can’t wait to see what God will do in their lives. Thank you for coming along this journey with us!

This week in our Children’s Church

Another week in quarantine with our kids! The area of our Children’s Church has been opening up slowly and most of the parents are trying to work as much as they can. Schools are still not open, so we’ve been trying to keep the kids occupied!

We’ve held study classes and art classes and more. Our volunteers have really gone above and beyond, serving our kids.

Our kids bring their backpacks to our classes.

We filled the water tanks

And we spent time in each village

Worshipping together, and bread and fruit for the kids. And large bottles of hand sanitizer!

Gathering

We’ve held prayer meetings daily and read the Bible together. For our families here, the pandemic is scary, and being out of work for so long is scary too, but I hope when we all look back at this time, our kids will remember prayer meetings and singing, and special snacks, and art projects together.

Please continue to pray with us for protection and provision for our volunteers and those we serve!

Thank you for your love, your prayers for those we serve around the world! It’s absolutely amazing what happens when we come together and follow the Lord’s leading. I’m beyond grateful for you all!

If you’d like to see more than we can share here, email me for access.

Thank you for keeping us, this ministry, and our outreaches in prayer, and thank you for your support! We couldn’t do any of this without you.
