Week in review October 12 2019
This week continues our studies with an overview of The Fall Feasts Of Israel, and specifically, The Day Of Atonement (Yom Kippur). Our outreaches continue in Mexico and India! Continue reading to see a glimpse from our outreaches this week as well as a recap of all the posts on the site.
Prayers for healing
First, thank you for your prayers! Little Joel and his sister Esther are doing much better!
Adult Literacy Center
In our classes this week, we put aside the curriculum books and learned by writing Bible verses!
Village Outreach
Each week, our volunteers visit one of the villages to pray with the families. The parents and kids also ask to learn more Bible stories, and sing songs and play together too.
For people who have been outcast and marginalized for generations, these visits are more than praying and reading the Bible together. These visits show how each person is important to Jesus, that He sees their needs and loves them. It reminds them that the Creator of all wants to have a relationship with each one individually.
Not matter our upbringing, it’s hard for many of us to fully receive the love without limits that Jesus has for us. It’s much harder though, for those who have been taught by society that they are worthless. But as they do begin to receive this love, their lives are transformed and generations of shame begin to shatter. We pray for their hearts to be full of His love and that it will radiate from them into the lives of their neighbors!
Scenes from our Sunday Service
The sun was out this week, letting us set up the tents!
Here is the truck that picks up people from villages far away each week. We’re so grateful they no longer have to walk many miles each way in the dirt to come to church.
Sunday School Classes and Prayer
The kids have been asking to learn how to pray in English! Our volunteers are excited to help! Now I need to learn to pray in their tribal language.
