Praying For The Dead?
Published: August 16, 2015 (Originally published: August 16, 2015)I have a friend who has grown up Catholic but has gone to other churches to study the bible. She believes that on All Souls Day, we should pray for our loved ones who have passed on. Is there any biblical evidence for this? When we pass on, don’t our souls go either to heaven or hell? Thank you for your help.
Moses In Midian

How Can I Convert Them?
Published: August 16, 2015 (Originally published: August 17, 2015)I used to belong to (another religion), and most of my family still does. I have tried to teach them the truth but it usually ends up just making them mad. Or they just think I’ve turned into a “religious fanatic”. Can one be saved and still pray to someone other than God and Jesus? I don’t see how, as that seems to be idolatry. They also still believe in works, not just grace. What is your advice on how best to convert them?
After Death
Published: August 17, 2015 (Originally published: August 18, 2015)I have heard, especially at funerals, that the deceased person “has gone to be with the Lord”. The Salvation Army states the deceased has “been promoted to Glory”. I’m having difficulty understanding either of these premises. If a dead person has “gone to be with the Lord”, why is He coming back (for us)? …we will be changed in the blink of an eye…the dead will rise….etc. Your insight would be appreciated. Thanks.
Confirmation Or Not?
Published: August 17, 2015 (Originally published: August 10, 2015)My question has to do with those individuals in the Body who claim to have received visions or angelic visitations concerning what is coming to pass. A particular incident happened to a godly man that my sister and I know. He says that he had an angelic visitation about 6 mos ago and just recently shared his experience after consulting with the pastor and leadership. The message he received is identical to one given by a close friend of his in 2008. My question is since the messages are identical, is that a confirmation of their validity, or is it an unconscious affirmation that he believes what his friend declared?
Did The Exodus Happen?
Published: August 10, 2015 (Originally published: August 10, 2015)I saw an article in which the author refuted the exodus, saying it was not possible. I found information on the subject and saw that there was evidence saying that it was possible. Both theories seem possible as they give names and facts but as they are contradictory, is there other evidence to prove it true?
Understanding Matthew 10:5
Published: August 10, 2015 (Originally published: August 11, 2015)Are you able to shed any light on this matter? It pertains to Matthew 10:5 where Jesus told His disciples not to go among the Samaritans in their missionary journey. On a Christian FB site we are having a friendly discussion on going. One person is saying that it is not because the Samaritans were half breed but because they were idol worshipers. But all other studies I have done says they are half breed. Can you help me figure this out?
Dispute over the body of Moses
Published: August 10, 2015 (Originally published: August 11, 2015)I read with interest today’s letter and your response to Jude’s mention of Satan’s interest in Moses’ body and your comparison of Old testament Moses as a type of new testament Jesus.
I have always wondered about this and now my conclusion leads me to believe the “body” of Moses may be followers of the law just as Jesus body is the church through grace.

Christian Symbols In The Workplace
Published: August 11, 2015 (Originally published: August 11, 2015)I’ve been so blessed over the last few years by your teaching. My understanding of God’s Word has grown and it is wonderful to have peace in my heart about so many issues that our pastors never touch on. Thank you for your faithfulness in your ministry. Your daily email is the highlight of my day. May our Father reward you abundantly.
I have a practice that I run from my home, in a building separate from my house. The property has only one entrance shared by family and clients alike. On the pillars and walls of my garage I have beautiful signs of a heart and the cross, made from chickenwire and small stones, really quite rustic. In my practice’s waiting room I have the words love, peace, faith, hope and healing embroidered on the chair cushions. My clients come from all walks of life and denominations, as well as from other faiths. I have noticed that clients from other faiths seldom return for their followup sessions to complete their treatment. This has made me wonder about the appropriateness of my Christian symbols in my workplace. I am not ashamed of the Gospel of Christ and that is why I have the courage to display these symbols. We have many Muslim shops in our country and they all have Arabic inscriptions over their entrances which I don’t understand, but this has not deterred me to buy from them. What is your view on this from a biblical perspective? I appreciate your insight and wisdom. God bless you.
