One Person’s Imagination

Q

I read an article that claims America is the Bibilical “Mystery Babylon” which will be destroyed by a Russian nuclear bomb exploded by 1/1/2016 at 20 mile over the middle of America causing a great electromagnetic field that will turn us into darkness. Also, President Obama is the king of the South and Putin is the king of the North.  Putin will invade America with his allies. Do you think that there is any Scripture to support these alarming predictions?

Comparing Zeph. 2 And Psalm 83

Published: August 25, 2015 (Originally published: August 25, 2015)
Q

Only since 1948 has Israel been in control of the coast lands & Ashkelon that were once ancient Philistine. Zeph 2.6-7 is finally being fully fulfilled in modern times.

Both you & Dr Fruchtenbaum have stated that Zeph 2:9 points to a time that is yet future when Israel will possess Moab & Ammon.

Zeph 2:11 talks about a future time when the Lord will famish all the world’s gods and all the nations of the world bow down to the Lord. This verse parallels quite nicely with the Ps 83:16-18 verses which will be fulfilled in the future .

These verses have been partially  fulfilled in the past, therefore they must be fully fulfilled in the future.

Do you feel that Zeph 2:11 is talking about the final fulfillment of the judgments that Asaph prayed for in Psalm 83?

Pastors Who Don’t Teach Prophecy

Published: August 25, 2015 (Originally published: August 26, 2015)
Q

I have followed your website and ministry for nearly 8 years now and have been encouraged and blessed by your teaching. I would greatly appreciate your thoughts on the resistance of many pastors toward teaching Bible prophecy. Specifically, your advice on how to approach speaking with those in Church authority about the importance of Bible prophecy teaching. How can we talk about this without offending or causing division?  Also, what are your thoughts on the importance of choosing a church that teaches Bible prophecy?

Elisha’s Bones

Published: June 1, 2016 (Originally published: August 18, 2015)
Q

In 2 Kings 13:21 there is a dead man who is being buried near the grave of Elisha. As he is being buried, a marauding band attacks, and somehow this dead man’s body gets thrown into the grave of Elisha. As soon as the man’s body touched the bones of Elisha, he was revived and stood on his feet. Why would this kind of resurrection power remain in Elisha’s bones well after he had died?

Losing Salvation in Revelation

Published: August 20, 2015 (Originally published: August 21, 2015)
Q

In Revelation 22:18-19 it says “I testify to everyone who hears the words of the prophecy of this book: if anyone adds to them, God will add to him the plagues which are written in this book; and if any man shall take away from the words of the book of this prophecy, God shall take away his part out of the book of life, and out of the holy city, and from the things which are written in this book.

What does this passage mean if our salvation is supposed to be secure?

Forgiveness then Death?

Published: August 20, 2015 (Originally published: August 21, 2015)
Q

I’ve heard from people that if you die and don’t ask for forgiveness before you do then you could go to hell. They applied this to believers as well. I’ve accepted Christ as my savior and rely on him for my salvation but if I pass away without asking for forgiveness for my sins first, will this forfeit my salvation?

Explaining Psalm 90:10

Published: August 18, 2015 (Originally published: August 19, 2015)
Q

Just read your wonderful article on healing. That is the best explanation of Paul’s ‘thorn in the flesh’ I have ever read.  I have a question  –  I would like to read an expansion of Psalm 90:10 where we are given three score years and ten but perhaps to eighty with tribulations.

I have seen many great people of faith in our Lord suffer terribly at about the age of 80. My own much loved brother has terminal cancer at age 81.    He has been a man of God all his life and I hate to see this happen to him, but he has instructed all his family to pray, not for healing, but that Father’s Will be done. How do you see this?
