Two Views Of Ezekiel 38
Published: December 28, 2014I’ve been doing some online study and have come across various views on Ezekiel 38. I’ve basically compiled most opinions into two camps of thought concerning the battle of Ezekiel 38 and 39.
The most popular view is that Ezekiel’s battle is a unique battle before Tribulation that coincides with the rapture. It’s this battle that kicks off Tribulation and ultimately Armageddon as the church is pulled from earth either just prior or immediately after.
The second view is that this battle does not take place before Tribulation, but is one of many battles during Armageddon. If the War of Armageddon could be equated to World War Two, Ezekiel’s battle would equate to say, The Battle of El Alamein and the second coming to say the D-Day invasion.
What clues does the bible give to predate this battle before Tribulation? Do the prophets in the bible speak of any specific battles during Armageddon if Ezekiel’s description in chapter 38 and 39 is not one of them?
What Will Bring The Jews Back?
Published: December 27, 2014I first of all want to commend you on your articles and the Godly wisdom that you display. My question has to do with the physical return to Israel by all the Jews in the world particularly the U.S. This hasn’t happened yet. Do you see this happening before the Rapture or after? Can you possibly give scriptures to support your answer? If Israel destroys the superstructure of Iran and particularly Syria in the next war, do you think this will do away with terrorism, or do you possibly see more antisemitism arising in the world particularly in the U.S? What in your opinion will drive Jews out of the U.S. and to Israel?
The Adulterous Wife And The Virgin Bride
Published: December 26, 2014At The Rapture, the living as well as the dead in Christ will be raised – the dead in Christ have been with Him since they were absent from their bodies, will they also be a part of The Bride? And, because all children under the age of accountability will also be Raptured, will these children also be a part of The Bride? Jesus’ references to a wedding feast and the wedding guests – there is definitely a distinction between the Bride and Groom and the wedding guests. Who are the wedding guests? In The Old Testament God speaks of Israel as His wife – how does this differ from Jesus and His Bride?
Amillennialism
Published: December 25, 2014I was taught growing up what I now know to be Amillenialism, and of course we were never taught any of the prophetic books and the Book of Revelation, etc. Lately, I have been on what seems to be the most adventurous path I have ever taken in life, in discovering the nature of prophecy and the end times from (several leading evangelical scholars). As you can imagine this really opened my eyes to a whole new world of things. I was really excited about it until I received information from a member of (my denomination) that challenged these beliefs. Now I honestly do not know what to believe and I feel like just giving up on trying to understand these sections of scripture. Can you help?
The Temple, The Throne, And The River
Published: December 25, 2014I enjoyed your article – “Thy Kingdom Come”. My question is regarding Rev 22 and Ezekiel 47. The river is flowing from the throne in Rev 22 and from the temple or the house in Ezekiel 47. If there is no temple in the New Jerusalem (because God is) but the river flows out of the midst of it – does that mean the river in Rev 22 is not in the New Jerusalem? Will there be a temple in the Jerusalem on earth that the river flows from? I was thinking that the River of Life was in the heavenly city? Maybe I was wrong on that. Could you help clarify that for me?
Every Eye Will See Him
Published: December 25, 2014In Matthew 26:64 Jesus answers the high priest,”…Hereafter shall ye see the Son of Man sitting on the right hand of power, and coming in the clouds of heaven.” Jesus is obviously referring to His second coming after the Great Tribulation and before the millennium. How can the high priest see Him coming in the clouds of heaven if unbelievers are not resurrected until after the millennium?
The Star Of Bethlehem
Published: December 23, 2014I am having an issue with the Magi saying they had “seen his star in the East.” If they were indeed the Parthian priests descended from Daniel’s group, which I believe they were, they would have been east of Bethlehem when they encountered the star, meaning they should have seen “his star in the west” when looking back toward Bethlehem. What am I missing? Are they meaning to say that they were in the east when they saw the star in the west?
Rapture Or 2nd Coming
Published: December 23, 2014. Thank you for your teaching and ministry, Mr. Kelley. Does Matthew 24:44 “Therefore be ye also ready: for in such an hour as ye think not the Son of man cometh” imply that the world will be calm at the time Jesus calls for His Bride – i.e. the rapture? Will He call for us at a time of calm on the earth?
Is My Giving Sincere?
Published: December 22, 2014With a limited income, but through the use of coupons, I am able to accumulate and donate both groceries and health/beauty aid items to a local faith based cooperative on a regular basis. I enjoy knowing that people can use these items and I also like the anonymity it provides. However, lately, I’ve doubted the sincerity of my giving as I leave after dropping these items off.
It boils down to this. Many of the people I see receiving assistance at this cooperative by all appearances seem to be doing quite well. Their cars are nicer and newer than mine, they have expensive looking cell phones, IPODS, etc.
I know it’s wrong to judge others and I also know that my giving is to be from the heart and God knows whether or not it is, but this really bothers me. I don’t want to turn my back on those who need help, but I’m not really sure the people who need these items are getting them. I don’t want to contribute items that someone can’t afford to buy because they had to pay their cable or hi speed internet bill instead; both of which I forego because I can’t afford them.
My question is this: Do I continue to contribute to this facility and keep praying that it truly helps somebody in need or do I distribute those items to people I know who can use them, but aren’t necessary struggling to make ends meet?
More On Zombies In The Bible
Published: December 21, 2014Re: Zombies In The Bible,Follow Up. Could the people in Rev. 9:6 who “will not be able to die to escape from the terrible pain of the scorpion stings they will have received” be suffering from a paralysis caused by the stings? If these people were totally immobilized(but still conscious) where they could not move or even speak then they may seek death and long to die, but will be unable to do anything about it.
