Turned Off By Religion
Published: October 1, 2025I am trying to witness to my 86 year old die hard Catholic father. (he hasn’t gone to church in years but did meet the Pope during the war) He feels this church has changed since he was an alter boy and he has lost faith in the Church.
I grew up Catholic also, but found the Lord in college thru a Baptist friend and have been studying the bible & prophecy ever since. I explained I put my faith in Jesus, not a religion and at that point he won’t talk about it anymore and gets angry.
He is really hurt because his religion failed him and I don’t know how to reach him. Of course prayer is my only answer, but do you have any other suggestions. Every time I ask him if he ever believed in Jesus, he evades the question.
The Parable Of The Yeast
Published: September 30, 2025I was going through the Parable of the Yeast from Matthew 13 and I have a question. Normally in Bible, Man is the term used to represent humans (both men and women). Here in this parable “Women” is used. Does she represent EVE? Through Eve, sin has been spread and mixed all over the world till now.(“until it was all leavened” means “to the end of the world”) What do you think?
How Are We Able To Seek Our Salvation?
Published: September 30, 2025Man is in a depraved state and sin was passed down thru Adam to us. Because of our sinful nature, how are we able to make the decision to be saved without God helping us? Are we that able to have something to do with our salvation? Wouldn’t that mean salvation isn’t just up to God and that it’s our work and His grace combined?
What Happened To Jesus After He Died?
Published: September 30, 2025What happened to Jesus after he died? Because I remember he had told the thief on the cross that he would be with Him in paradise.
Why Was Paul Still Keeping The Law?
Published: September 29, 2025I came across scripture below from Acts 24:17 today as I was reading. If Paul was the Apostle to the Gentiles, and Jesus died once and his death paid the price for all of our sins, then why was there a need for Paul to make offerings at the temple? In other words, why was he still arduously keeping the law? Could you please clarify this for me? There is so much confusion with the rise of the Messianic Christian Movements and their penchant for law-keeping and this disturbed me. As a Follower of Jesus, I thought we had no need to keep the law in this manner. But after reading this scripture, I am a little confused.
Who Is Modern Day Israel?
Published: September 29, 2025Please help me understand the end times as they are being played out today. The most difficult thing to find out is, who is the modern day Israel ? Are we being deceived into error? Who and where are the true Jews that we are to bless and love that are God’s true people. Please try to keep it simple for me, thanks.
They Will Not Taste Death
Published: September 29, 2025I am reading the book of Mark and have a question about chapter 9. And he said to them, “Truly I tell you, some who are standing here will not taste death before they see that the kingdom of God has come with power. Who was Jesus talking about not tasting death?
A Thorn In The Flesh
Published: September 26, 2025There is something that always bothers me whenever it comes up in a discussion, and that’s Paul’s “thorn in the flesh”. Paul called his thorn in the flesh “a Messenger from Satan”. Could this messenger have been the slave girl from Acts 16:16? Thanks for your insight.
What Does God Expect?
Published: September 26, 2025My ex-husband sexually abused his daughter and stepdaughter. I know I’m supposed to forgive him and I’ve tried but when I think of him doing this I get angry and want to hurt him. I ask God to forgive me when I do this but it’s been a long time and I don’t know if I’m doing this right. He has never asked for forgiveness or admitted any wrong doing. Please advise me on what to do and what God expects of me. I am saved and have been for many years. Thank you.
How Can They Ignore Prophecy?
Published: September 26, 2025I have 3 questions regard the Pastors / teachers who willfully ignore, and even reject Bible prophecy with a spirit of contempt. 1) On what authority do these pastors assume they only have to teach the scriptures they “approve of”? 2) What does the Bible indicate will happen to the pastors / teachers who do this? 3) Is Second Timothy 3:16 suggestive, or are we to take it literally? Thanks for your valuable insight as always!
