Re: Matt. 8:10-12. I believe in OSAS but as I read this passage I wonder if my belief is misplaced. Here we have the Sons of the Kingdom! But they are being cast out? Why are they being cast out? What did they do to cause them to be cast out? This verse says, they are in the kingdom of Heaven!!! This bothers me. I must be missing something, It just doesn’t sound like you’re always saved. Please explain and pray for me.

I understand from your website that you are of the OSAS opinion/belief. I am a bit confused on this issue, but I do hope that perhaps it may be the case, it does give some hope for the likes me.

Given that I am a former minister and during my time as a minister I hit my wife on more than occasion and leaving ministry because of this, falling into drug use, adultery, alcoholism and defaming Christ using the most filthy language and curses; I hope most earnestly that there is grace even for men of my kind, with or without OSAS.

OSAS And John 5:1-15

In John chapter 5 after Jesus healed the man with the infirmity, he said “…: sin no more…”. I believe in OSAS, but I have a friend that takes this to mean if you continue to sin after being saved you can lose your salvation. You have to live a holy life to keep your salvation, which I do not believe. But, what exactly did Jesus mean when he said “Behold, thou art made whole: sin no more, lest a worse thing come unto thee”, because sinning no more is just not humanly possible. Please explain.

I noticed that you use Romans 8:39-39 in justifying OSAS. I’ve been told that this verse lists only external factors and doesn’t include anything internal to us. This means while nothing external to us can cause us to lose our salvation, we can either forfeit or give back our salvation by things we do ourselves. Is this true?

I have a question on Hebrews 10:26-29. I was brought up to believe in “once saved, always saved”, yet this scripture would make someone think that salvation could be lost.

“For if we sin willfully after we have received the knowledge of truth,there no longer remains a sacrifice for sins, but a certain fearful expectation of judgment, and fiery indignation which will devour the adversaries. Anyone who has rejected Moses’ law will die without mercy on the testimony of two or three witnesses. Of how much worse punishment, do you suppose, will he be thought worthy who has trampled the Son of God underfoot, counted the blood of the covenant by which he was sanctified a common thing, and insulted the Spirit of grace.”

I am new to your site, but you seem to have some pretty knowledgeable things to say. Please clear this one up for me.

OSAS And 1 Cor. 6:9-10

Your website and the answers have been a blessing. I do have 1 question.

“1Co 6:9 Know ye not that the unrighteous shall not inherit the kingdom of God? Be not deceived: neither fornicators, nor idolaters, nor adulterers, nor effeminate, nor abusers of themselves with mankind, 1Co 6:10 Nor thieves, nor covetous, nor drunkards, nor revilers, nor extortioners, shall inherit the kingdom of God. ”

That verse says that I shall not inherit the kingdom of God if I do any of those things. What happens to OSAS if I steal something and die before I confess?

Re: Phil. 2:12-13 “Continue to work out your salvation with fear and trembling, for it is God who works in you to will and to act according to his good purpose.” I read an article where the author uses these verses to deny OSAS. He agrees we are saved by grace and cannot earn or deserve our salvation. But we must do our part to receive and keep it, or else we’ll lose it.
