Wondering what your thoughts are on the subject of Christians making covenants? An increasing number of bible studies and christian groups are asking participants to sign covenants agreeing to whatever is required by the course, or to certain obligations within the group. I feel uncomfortable being asked to do so. Wondering if you have addressed this subject in your writings? Thanks!

What does John 20:22-23 mean? “If you forgive men’s sins they are forgiven them and if you hold them bound they are held bound?” The Catholic Church takes this to validate the confessional and forgiveness of sins by the priest. Your insight is appreciated.

Thank you so much for your insight, as I look forward to your e-mails every day. I am sincerely hoping for a pre-trib rapture, as I am sure that all of us are. Currently, I am reading an e-book that strongly supports the post-trib rapture, with many scriptural citations and inferences backing up this theory. This author presents a stong case for his position, as you do with the pre-trib assertion. Honestly, I am completely confused and don’t know what to anticipate, other than being in a “ready” status at any time. I sincerely wish that this wasn’t such a mystery, and was not an issue that is so open to interpretation. Is the Bible meant to be so ambiguous, so that we are not sure of the day and time of His coming?

I read your website often. It’s a blessing to me. I was reading Ezekiel the other day and paused at chapter 33 verse 8. Did warning sinners only apply to that time, or does it still apply to the present day? And what exactly does God mean when He says if you never warned a sinner to change their way and they die unsaved, their blood is on your hands?

I can’t remember the specific scriptures off the top of my head but I know it says in the Bible that gold and silver will be worthless so why is everyone buying it? Thank you for your time and thoughts.

Today in Bible study one of the ladies said that when she was teaching Sunday school she had a little boy ask her “If there is no sin in Heaven then how did Satan sin?” We were all pretty confounded. The closest answer we could come up with is that the angels have free will too but that still doesn’t explain how there will be no sin in Heaven once we die. What are your thoughts on this?

With all of the worldly/secular scientific attention focused on 2012, as well as the cross-cultural historicity of myths and legends about this time (12/21/12, specifically), I think that date or general time frame would be an excellent window for the rapture itself. Associated natural phenomena (pole/magnetic reversals, solar polar shift, etc) would be great cover and match the old Hopi legend of the Sun burning away the undesirables from the planet, leaving the enlightened more evolved to carry on. So if 2011 comes and goes, why not 12/21/12 for the rapture?

Re: Calvinism. I’ve been talking to someone who uses verses like Ephesians 1:4 to suggest that we’ve been chosen and that’s that. The choice has already been made and we just have to be thankful we were chosen and not among those ‘fitted for destruction’. Any thoughts on this?

RE: Is Grace Sufficient. I just have to make one comment about the homosexuality that the person questioned and one thing that you did not mention. 1 Cor. 6:9 – 10 says that homosexuals will not enter the kingdom of Heaven. If you are a homosexual, you cannot enter the kingdom of Heaven. A homosexual must repent of his sins and literally change his/her life and never go back to that way of living.

What if a lot of Christians don’t get raptured, and what if Christians who don’t know about the mark of the beast take it because they don’t know about it and were left behind? Sometimes I wonder what if half of us miss the rapture because we’re not living the way God wants us to live. Doesn’t the Bible say when we get to heaven only those who are pure of heart can actually go into the kingdom and the ones who are not have to stay outside the gates and work their way in? What are yours thoughts on this?
