Move The UN To Babylon?

Published: November 11, 2007
Q

Is it possible that the key to understanding how Babylon will re-evolve lies with the location of the United Nations?

The U.N. certainly could be considered a candidate for the one world gov. or at least will be the vehicle by which the anti-christ takes control and rules. If New York were crippled and the U.N. building destroyed (along with the U.S. economy in the process) by a terrorist strike, then the U.N. would HAVE to move to a new uncontaminated location and again it might be politically correct to the world to move it to Babylon.

Average Age Of Accountability

Published: November 11, 2007
Q

In your opinion what would you say would be the average or norm in the US for a range of age to include in the age of accountability?

Thirteen is the most common number given for the age of accountability based on the Jewish custom that a child becomes an adult at the age of 13. However, the Bible gives no direct support to the age of 13 always being the age of accountability. It likely varies from child to child, since I understand that a child has passed the age of accountability once he or she is capable of making a faith decision for or against Christ.

Dangerous Writings

Published: November 9, 2007
Q

I am seeing more of this type of writing arise after the popularity of the DaVinci Code. How do we refute the statements made below (by an atheist author)?

She claims: 1. Only a few secular historians even mention Jesus’ existence, and Christian apologetics continue to quote the same ones over and over again, but the fact is that most secular Roman and Jewish historians during Jesus’ time made no mention of him.

2. Much of the traditions of Christianity were borrowed from Persian and Roman pagan rituals; Trinity, blood and wine sacrifice, virgin birth, resurrection, Son of Man, Bread of God, Only begotten son.

These types of writings are dangerous and are becoming more common. They can weaken and perhaps destroy a person’s faith.

Is Sex A Sin?

Published: November 9, 2007
Q

Re: Genesis 3:7 “they knew they were naked; so they sewed fig leaves together and made coverings for themselves.”

Adam and Eve got a child by having sex but why did they have sex only after they sinned? Why didn’t they have sex and have children before sinned? Was sex known to them only after they sinned or before they sinned also? Before sinning they definitely knew that they were husband and wife but why were they not ashamed at being naked until after they sinned? Is sex a sin, or not a sin?

After The Millennium

Published: November 5, 2007
Q

I asked you earlier about the final destiny of children who are born during the millennium and accept Jesus as Lord to which you replied that scripture does not give us the answer. However, I also realized that I cannot find a final destiny for Israel. After the millennium what happens to them?

Also would it be right to say that Jews saved in the time of the great tribulation, the tribulation saints, the old testament saints, and the millennial children who are saved during the millennium will all share the same destiny?

Is there ANY hint as to what any of these groups’ final destinies might be?

Are The Seals Of Rev. 6 Broken?

Published: November 4, 2007
Q

I blog on (another site) and at times we have heated debates. One of the most debated topics especially of late has been whether or not the first 5 seals of Revelation are open. One argument is that “there is NO mention in Revelation (or elsewhere) that the Seals are Judgments – I think that this is just tradition – and again has no foundation in Scripture. Remember, the seals are being broken one by one by the Lord Jesus, as he opens the Scroll.”

Deep down in my spirit I feel that this is wrong. How do I go to people who think, and feel this way backing it up scripturally that the seals are not open?

Who Is The Lord Talking To?

Published: November 1, 2007
Q

I have a question about the Gog/Magog war. I have a friend who uses the Ezekiel 38:17 verse as proof that “the one spoken about by the prophets” is none other than the AC and that Gog/Magog (Ezekiel 38-39) is just another summary of the Armageddon war. I believe as you do that these 2 wars are different, and I have told them that I thought Haggai and Ezekiel (and possibly Joel) might be the prophets referenced here. What is your take on this verse and who are the prophets that spoke of the Gog/Magog war and are referenced in Ezekiel 38-39?

Will Christians Suffer Hard Times?

Published: November 1, 2007
Q

I believe that the Church will miss the worst of the end times because of the rapture, but you have to admit that things are starting to look pretty rough financially to those of us that can see, and I’m wondering a couple of things. First, how bad do you think it will get for us before the rapture (an educated guess, obviously) and second, do you have or know anyone who has recommendations for Christians to ride out these last days? I personally don’t feel any sense of panic, that the Lord will sustain us, and maybe that’s the whole point; that Christians will be an example of God’s provision even just before the rapture. What do you think?

Contemplating Contemplative Prayer

Published: October 29, 2007
Q

Re: Body, Soul, and Spirit. Another excellent article. Profound. Raises a question for me though. I have a brother who is into contemplative prayer. I have warned him of the criticisms of the practice. I have sent him articles that Bob Dewaay has written, where he argues that intent is not an adequate reason for what he calls crossing the boundaries against divination found in the Bible. Your article makes me wonder if my brother may be more correct. He is seeking to silence the soul (which is still sinful) to make his spirit (which is united with the Holy Spirit) more dominant when he meditates.

What do you say about the contemplative movement?
