I’m studying the Book of Revelation and came across Rev.10:4. “And when the seven thunders had uttered their voices, I was about to write, and I heard a voice from Heaven saying unto me, Seal up those things which the seven thunders uttered, and write them not.” What does this mean and why wasn’t John allowed to reveal what they said? Thanks for your insight.

The Bible makes it very clear that sin is an abnormal state brought into this world because of a choice made by Adam and Eve. I’ve been trying to picture what my life would look like if there was no sin in this world. My question is this. Does the Bible paint us a picture of what life for a human would be without sin in this world?

Thank you for all you do to help us understand scripture more fully. I have a question about Judas. Is there any correlation between the scapegoat in the Old testament and Judas in the NT? Of course, Judas was not innocent like the scapegoat, but the way in which Judas died (Acts 1:18) is so similar in manner to the scapegoat’s death from being pushed off a cliff that it made me ask. Many Christians blame Judas for Jesus death, and although his actions played a part in the final outcome, it was Jesus himself who laid down his life for us. Each of us is responsible for the death of Jesus because of our sin, but human nature just naturally seeks out someone else to blame. Is there any significance in the similarities?

Since I’ve found your website, not a day goes by that I have failed to read the new questions each day. My question is about Revelation 4 verse 1. What is the “after this” that both John and the voice are referring to? Could it mean the “after this” is the church age is over and He is showing us the rest of the story? I know it could mean after the rapture, but it seems it could be more descriptive.

Someone asked me a question on the 7 letters to the 7 churches in Revelation – how do people know that each church is representative of a church age in our history?

There are many conversations about our future and eternal role as members of the Church. These conversations are mostly about our role as priests and kings on the Lord’s side. But I haven’t heard any discussion about our future position as the Lord’s Bride. I have been thinking about that for a long time. The Book of Relevation speaks about the “Marriage of the Lamb,” If the Church is Jesus’ Bride now and there will be a future marriage ceremony in Heaven, does that mean that we all will be personally married to Him in Eternity? Is our position as “the Bride” symbolic or could it be taken literally?

In your answer you said, “According to the Bible both these fears are irrational. The only qualification we have to meet for the rapture is to be born again.” What Scripture references are you basing this upon? The only verse I can think of that perhaps clearly alludes to this question is Luke 21:36 “Watch therefore and pray always that you may be counted worthy to escape all these things that will come to pass…” – and this seems to be definitely at variance with your view.

Then you said, “After all what rational person, upon being given the chance to go straight to Heaven and be blessed for all eternity would say, “Someday Lord, but not today.” It doesn’t make sense.” I think a self-centered rational person who felt they had nothing further to do here would say yes. But a rational person who cared for the fate of the lost or loved ones during the Tribulation could legitimately wish for more time if they felt their mission wasn’t complete yet.

Does Satan not know what his end is? It is very clear in the bible, all the end time prophesies, etc. Standing in the temple proclaiming himself God and more. Why would continue along that prophesied path thinking he could possibly fight the Lord, win or even change things to his favor? I just don’t get it.

1 Thessalonians 4:14 says God will bring with him those who have fallen asleep in Jesus. Verse 16 says that the Lord will descend from heaven (so, he’s on the way down) when the dead in Christ rise first then the following verse has those who are alive being caught up to meet him in the air. My question is who is he bringing with him (verse 14) and where is he bringing them?

This sequence of events doesn’t make sense to me. How can he bring them with him if they meet him in the air? It appears that the verse has him “bringing” those who died in Jesus with him when he returns to meet the living only to turn around and take everyone back to Heaven for the Marriage supper and the bema seat. Please enlighten me.
