Anointing The Sick

Published: January 1, 2015
Q

I’ve been reading your articles on faith and healing of the sick, searching for an answer from the Lord on this very subject. I rejoiced when I read your articles, finally someone speaks clearly and biblical on this issue. The Lord has answered my question through you. So now what? Well, first I will pray that my faith be increased and second I would like to know exactly how to anoint with oil. I read through scripture that anointing by oil is done regularly so I’m sure James probably had some custom in mind when he commanded us in James 5:14 to do it. Surely there is some Hebrew custom on the method? Could you tell us how?

John 15:5-6, Follow Up

Q

Re: Understanding John 15:5-6. I’m a bit confused on how to know we are following the Lord’s prompting in doing good works, or doing it in our own strength? How do we know the difference? Can you give an example of each?

The Kingdom Parables, Another Interpretation

Published: January 1, 2015
Q

In two of the Kingdom Parables, my study Bible’s interpretation differs from yours. With the Parable of the mustard Seed, it says says the ‘birds’ do not represent evil as they did in the previous Parable of the Sower. It goes on to say that the large growth of the mustard tree is good and represents the huge growth of the Kingdom from such a small beginning. In the parable of the Yeast, it again negates the yeast as symbolizing something evil; but rather its dynamic growth character. Again, pointing out the spread of yeast in dough, parallels the future fast growth of the Kingdom of God by the inner dynamic of the Holy Spirit. Could you give further explanations for your unique interpretation of these parables?

No More Rapture Speculation?

Published: December 31, 2014
Q

I am not hearing much speculation about the rapture nowadays, it almost seems folks have decided it will not happen in our time. Is this because if we were not correct in our understanding of end times scripture? At the close of yet another year, what do you think?

Why Did Fallen Angels Become Male Humans?

Published: December 31, 2014
Q

My question is why were the fallen angels only attracted to human women and not men? If these angels were able to apparently shape shift and materialize into different bodies why couldn’t they transform into women instead and take husbands for themselves? It is interesting that they were only attracted to women. Does this mean they couldn’t transform into women or that angels are only masculine?

A Secret Jesus Couldn’t Reveal, More Follow Up

Published: December 30, 2014
Q

Re: A Secret Jesus Couldn’t Reveal. I sincerely apologize for being so dense, but I want to be clear on this. My husband is a born again Jew, but I’m wondering if God blinded the Jews, how did he squeak through? And then you wrote that God has different requirements for Israel than the Jews who become part of the Church. I thought Israel was the Jews and all the other tribes? What is the specific difference between Israel and the Jews?

A Secret Jesus Couldn’t Reveal, Follow Up

Q

Re: A Secret Jesus Couldn’t Reveal. We do not understand your statement, “Blessings like salvation by grace through faith alone, eternal security, and especially the rapture, never have and never will be offered to Israel.” We understand that only the Church will be raptured, but how does the Jew receive salvation if not thru faith alone?

Peace Or Sudden Destruction?

Published: December 29, 2014
Q

I am a brother in Christ, but I have trouble understanding how Luke 21:25,26 and 1 Thessalonians 5:3 can both be right. How can they be saying peace and security and at the same time being fearful about the thing coming to the earth?

Human Sacrifice In The Great Tribulation?

Published: December 28, 2014
Q

I (we) do appreciate your knowledge of scripture and Godly sense. I know that this should not really concern those of us who are waiting for His call to ‘come up hither’. My question is; when the anti Christ sits in the temple at the mid-point claiming to be God might he will also sacrifice humans? Maybe this would be one more reason that the Jews will head out to Petra? Is there scripture that might suggest this, or is this just an over active imagination?

Two Views Of Ezekiel 38

Published: December 28, 2014
Q

I’ve been doing some online study and have come across various views on Ezekiel 38. I’ve basically compiled most opinions into two camps of thought concerning the battle of Ezekiel 38 and 39.

The most popular view is that Ezekiel’s battle is a unique battle before Tribulation that coincides with the rapture. It’s this battle that kicks off Tribulation and ultimately Armageddon as the church is pulled from earth either just prior or immediately after.

The second view is that this battle does not take place before Tribulation, but is one of many battles during Armageddon. If the War of Armageddon could be equated to World War Two, Ezekiel’s battle would equate to say, The Battle of El Alamein and the second coming to say the D-Day invasion.

What clues does the bible give to predate this battle before Tribulation? Do the prophets in the bible speak of any specific battles during Armageddon if Ezekiel’s description in chapter 38 and 39 is not one of them?
