What’s To Eat?

Published: May 21, 2024
Q

Thank you for your ministry. I learn so much from your answers. I have a question about the Israelites and manna. When they left Egypt they soon complained about being hungry. God provided food for them in the form of quail and manna. Now, in Chapter 16 verse 35 it says that they ate manna for 40 years until they “…..came to a land inhabited; they did eat manna, until they came unto the borders of the land of Canaan.” Other scriptures indicate that they had animals with them. In chapter 24 Moses sacrifices oxen. Later, when God directs Moses to make the Tabernacle, there is an altar for burnt offerings and also a table for the showbread (which was to be made of fine flour).

My question is, if they had animals and grain, why did the need the manna for 40 years? Was it possibly a supplement to their diet, like vitamins? Or did they just have the animals for sacrifices and the flour for grain offerings?

Thank you so much, and may God continue to bless this ministry.

The Olivet Discourse

Published: May 21, 2024
Q

Many scholars teach that the Olivet Discourse was written for the Church, but you say the focus is on Israel. If you’re right why does the Olivet Discourse even appear in Mark and Luke when these two Gospels are mainly Gentile in their focus? Please explain.

Holy Ghost And Holy Spirit

Published: May 21, 2024
Q

Thanks again for this opportunity to ask a good bible teacher a question. Is there a difference between the Holy Ghost and the Holy Spirit?

Example: Act 8:17 Then laid they their hands on them, and they received the Holy Ghost.

Eph 1:13 In whom ye also trusted, after that ye heard the word of truth, the gospel of your salvation: in whom also after that ye believed, ye were sealed with that Holy Spirit of promise,

If they are one in the same, why did they have to lay hands on to recieve one time, and only had to believe another time.

Thank you very much for your time and God bless you even more.

10 Dimensions

Q

A quantum mathematician in Japan has said that his math is telling him that there is 9 dimensions and the 9th dimension runs everything. This sounds to me a lot like parallel universes. What do you think about parallel universes and what is God doing with all of this?

When Believing Isn’t Enough

Published: May 20, 2024
Q

My question is this. If a person does not have a definite instance in their life where they declare that they are a sinner and accept Christ as Savior by praying something similar to the Sinner’s prayer (i.e. a salvation experience) are they really a believer? It was a topic of conversation with a friend who has no such experience yet believes she will go to heaven and longs to see Christ.

Prosperity Or Prophecy?

Published: May 20, 2024
Q

Is it your opinion that as we get closer to the Lord’s return, the more watered down the messages from the pulpit get? I am a charismatic; I believe that the gifts of the Holy Ghost are for today; that being said why do you think that most of the messages in charismatic churches today are based on prosperity? Where has all the prophetic teaching gone?

Don’t get me wrong. I believe and know that God wants to prosper us, but I believe we need to be preaching and teaching the full council of God… and that includes prophecy (end times)! Is part of the reason why we don’t preach or teach out of the book of Revelation because were living in the Laodicean church age and if we do we’ll see the truth slapping us right in the face?

Believing In Jesus

Published: May 17, 2024
Q

This is the end of a sermon given by my preacher.

The Bible doesn’t say that “whosoever believeth in the inerrancy of Scripture will not perish but have everlasting life”; it doesn’t say that whosoever believeth in the divinity of Jesus, his virgin birth, his bodily resurrection, his second coming; it doesn’t say that whosoever believeth in the doctrine of substitutionary atonement will not perish; it says that whosoever believeth in him–in Jesus–will not perish but have everlasting life (John 3:16).

I was shocked. This seems very wrong to me and the way of the new age movement. I need some guidance.

Believing Jesus Is God

Published: May 17, 2024
Q

Do you agree with John 8:24 that you must believe Jesus is God to be saved? Jesus says in John 8:24 … “… if you do not believe that I AM, you will die in your sins.” Please note: There is no “He” in the original Greek language.

When Did The Disciples Receive The Holy Spirit?

Published: May 16, 2024
Q

What is going on in John 20 when Jesus breathed on the disciples and told them to receive the Holy Spirit? Prior to this event, Jesus told them He could not send the Holy Spirit to them until after He returned to His Father. Then after this event He told them to wait in Jerusalem for the arrival of the Holy Spirit. So what happened in John 20, how do we explain this?
