The Purpose Of The Lord’s Return

Published: March 5, 2014
Q

Regarding Israel and the Jews: The whole purpose of Christ’s Return is to redeem Israel and the Jews, right? Isn’t that the sole purpose? Yes, the Gentiles also reap the benefits, but that is the ultimate purpose, right? 2nd question: During the time of the Great Tribulation, are the Jews exempt from making the decision to take the mark of the beast or not? I’m confused because it says “let those flee to the mountains.” That makes it sound like they won’t have to make that decision. What about Jews here in the US or anywhere else who don’t make it to Israel to flee to the mountains?

The Movie “Son Of God”

Published: March 5, 2014
Q

I am seeing a lot of negative talk about the movie Son of God. They are saying the people who made it are into new age doctrine and spirit channeling and that it is wrong to see this movie. What is your opinion? I don’t want to be misled by anyone. Your thoughts are much appreciated.

Who Are The Cowards Of Rev. 21:8

Published: March 5, 2014
Q

Who are the cowards of Revelation 21:8? One person wrote they are those that do not witness for Christ as a born again believer. I am rather timid and although I try to witness, if only to give out Bible tracts, this troubles me.

What Sins Did Jesus Forgive?

Published: March 5, 2014
Q

My question is in regards to Colossians 2:13-14 . “When you were dead in your sins and in the uncircumcision of your sinful nature, God made you alive with Christ. He forgave us all our sins, having canceled the written code, with its regulations, that was against us and that stood opposed to us; he took it away, nailing it to the cross.” Is Paul referring to the Ten Commandments, or the additional statutes such as ritual cleansing, no pork, etc.?

How does Russia invading the Ukraine play into end time prophecy? It definitely seems likes things are moving faster.

Where Did John Write The Revelation?

Published: March 3, 2014
Q

I have a question that I am struggling to get answered. John wrote down what he saw in Jesus’ Revelation whilst he was on Patmos. However, in Ch 1 v 9 he uses the past tense “I was on the island of Patmos because of the word of God and the testimony of Jesus” (NIV). This implies in his introduction that he is no longer on the island! If, as most commentaries who even try and address this issue think, he somehow had the letter smuggled off the island surely he would have said “I am on this island (present tense; or even present continuous tense). I know it’s a small point; but it’s bugging me!

OSAS And John 5:1-15

Published: March 3, 2014
Q

In John chapter 5 after Jesus healed the man with the infirmity, he said “…: sin no more…”. I believe in OSAS, but I have a friend that takes this to mean if you continue to sin after being saved you can lose your salvation. You have to live a holy life to keep your salvation, which I do not believe. But, what exactly did Jesus mean when he said “Behold, thou art made whole: sin no more, lest a worse thing come unto thee”, because sinning no more is just not humanly possible. Please explain.

Jesus And Lucifer, Follow Up

Published: March 2, 2014
Q

Re. Jesus And Lucifer. After reading your posting, I was interested in checking out Isaiah 14:12 where the name “Lucifer” appears in the Strong’s Concordance. Going further into The Interlinear Bible translation we have (from latest edition printing – 1986), all I could find was “o shining star”. Not all that familiar with Hebrew, I am wondering what the Hebrew equivalent would be to the Latin’s “Lucifer” (and BTW: how does the Hebrew get translated to Lucifer in Latin?)

Anti-Christ From Kurdistan?

Published: March 2, 2014
Q

I was doing some research into Mystery Babylon and came across three videos which make me wonder if it is possible (or probable) that the anti-Christ could come from Kurdistan? Have you ever done any research into this possibility? It could explain how the Muslims could accept the anti-Christ as the Mahdi.

Three Temples Or Four?

Published: March 1, 2014
Q

Does the Bible mention three Temples or four? I have noticed a number of prophecy teachers making mention of the Millennial temple as being the 4th Temple, but I thought I read where you said it’s the third one. Which is correct?
