God’s Covenant With The Jews

Published: February 24, 2010
Q

Does the Abraham Covenant with the Jews last forever – even through the Church age? If yes, why are we to spread the gospel to the Jews first and then the gentiles? Are all non-believing Jews from the time Jesus died on the cross and rose again going to Hell? Is it only the Old Testament faithful Jews, the believing Jews during the Church Age, and the 144,000 and the new converts during the tribulation that are or will be saved?

More On The Gift Of Tongues

Published: February 23, 2010
Q

I have heard individuals begin to “speak in tongues”, but I never have. Recently I read a writing by an evangelical preacher who stated that the Lord told him to pray in tongues for one hour a day, and that he does so. I was of the impression that one could/would only speak in tongues when the Holy Spirit came upon them. I am absolutely a believer, but I have never spoken in tongues. I pray that my not speaking in tongues does not mean that my faith is somehow deficient. Could you please provide me with some insight?

More On Whose Choice It Is

Published: February 21, 2010
Q

In several of your articles about eternal security you have said that even the faith to ask for salvation was a gift from Him. However, salvation through Jesus is also our choice and we are responsible for making that choice. We must ask for and accept it. But we can’t accept it until we first believe it and we can’t believe it until God gives us the faith to do so. Do you see where I’m coming from?

Rapture Requirements

Published: February 20, 2010
Q

I am seeing an another website that I often check that a walk with God is required to go in the Rapture, as Enoch walked with God and was caught up. Now I am under the impression that my faith in Christ justifies me for the Rapture and that’s it. Do you agree?

Why Start Counting in 1948?

Published: February 20, 2010
Q

Thanks again for the time you put into this ministry. I know it is a huge benefit to so many. My question is regarding the “last generation” mentioned in Matthew and Luke, at Olivet. You have said that 1948 and the re-birth of Israel ‘start the clock’ – meaning the generation alive/being born during that time will be around to see the return of messiah.

After several readings of the Matthew and Luke Passages, It seems to me that the generation referred to is the generation that sees the beginning of the tribulation – THAT generation will live to see the return of messiah. Would you mind explaining why my reasoning might be incorrect?

More On God’s Wrath

Published: February 20, 2010
Q

After some serious cosmic & earthly occurrences shake things up the people in Revelation 6:16-17 are afraid and want to be hid from the face of Him on the throne and from the wrath of the Lamb. “For the great day of His wrath has come, and who is able to stand?” Assuming Revelation is fairly chronological, the “great day of His wrath” doesn’t really start until the Great Tribulation in general and Armageddon battle specifically, so why are they saying this early on in the 6th Seal judgment?

Ark Of The Covenant Follow Up

Q

Ref. Jeremiah 3:16

Then it shall come to pass, when you are multiplied and increased in the land in those days,” says the LORD, “that they will say no more, ‘The ark of the Covenant of the LORD. It shall not come to mind, nor shall they remember it, nor shall they visit it, nor shall it be made anymore.

I thought this passage meant the Ark no longer exists.

Who Was He Talking About?

Published: February 19, 2010
Q

After reading a lot of Facebook comments from Christian friends (which includes pastors), I find a common verse that is often quoted, “If my people who are called by my name….” and there are others as well. And it is my understanding from your teachings, that there are 3 kinds of people and some Old Testament Scriptures like this don’t apply to the Church. And when I share with people that the Church are not “His people called by His name”, they get all defensive.

Which brings to mind when Jesus said “forgive them Father for they know not what they do”. Was He talking about God’s chosen people the Jews and the crucifixion only, since the Church was not in place yet, or was He referring to all mankind in that God sent His Son so that the whole world might be saved? Or is this a plea/prayer from Jesus about all of our “unknowing sins” that we commit?

Post Rapture Salvation, Follow Up

Q

For the most part I enjoy your site and agree with most of what you write, but I do have some questions. You write that during the tribulation, those who come out of it are from Israel and not Gentiles, unless I misunderstood you. Also, you write that tribulation saints have to hold onto their salvation by works, again, if I understood you correctly. Do you not believe that those Tribulation saints spoken of in Rev. 7-14 include Gentiles?

And, since Rev. 7:14 states that these have come out of the Tribulation and have “washed their robes and made them white in the blood of the Lamb, do you not believe that their salvation was secured in Christ by His blood also, and not by their works?

Who Is The False Prophet?

Published: February 18, 2010
Q

I have heard hundreds of people ask “Who is the AntiChrist?” but I don’t believe I have ever heard anyone ask “Who is the False Prophet?” I have been studying Revelation all afternoon (mostly in your series of articles) and I am stuck on Rev 13-14. Some teach that the False Prophet will be a Jew from the tribe of Dan. I believe I have read that you believe that too. So he will be a natural man. But the Anti Christ comes up out of the sea and I believe he is a spirit who will take possession of a man’s body, so who he is in reality doesn’t matter a whole lot. Could you give me some more insight on this?
