Q. Can you explain why there is two versions of creation in Genesis ? It says in the beginning etc and takes us to the creation of mankind then the seventh day and God rested. Then it starts another chapter explaining Adam, the Garden of Eden etc.
A. Genesis 1:1-2:3 contains the creation story from God’s perspective. Genesis 2:4-5:32 is Adam’s account. It’s a review of the creation from his perspective and continues to the time of Noah. I’m in the process of publishing an ebook on Genesis showing it to be a compilation of the accounts of 10 men and their Creator. It should be ready in a month or so.
