This week in Mexico 10-31-20

I’m excited to share with you our week in Mexico! Here, we have the same situation as in India, where our kids are left out of the schooling options for the affluent. Without computers and internet at home, they can’t attend their classes. So, working with the local schools, we are going to be helping our kids learn during the pandemic.

Quick links to the other parts this week:

We first had to make masks for each kid! Here, it’s very strict and kids aren’t allowed in any stores, so this is the first chance our kids have had to be out of their houses since March! They are so excited! It’s also the first time they’ve had to wear masks, and as we know, it takes a little getting used to!

We’re still waiting on the curriculum, so we held a couple of craft days together! This lets them get used to the new setup, learning outside, together in small groups. We have over 50 kids, in a small outdoor area, and we are going to ask all moms who are available to come help. We haven’t even begun yet, but already word has spread to other communities who want to bring their kids to us. We don’t have the capacity for that, but we are praying for other ways we can help more families in need so their kids don’t fall behind.

Please pray with us for wisdom in helping them learn and keeping them safe at the same time!

Craft classes!

Here are twins Miranda and Keylie! Miranda (on the left) is the one who needed eye surgery three years ago! At the same time, little Joel was having his first surgery. To walk down memory lane with us, here’s the first post, and our follow up!

Thank you for your love, and your prayers for those we serve around the world! It’s absolutely amazing what happens when we come together and follow the Lord’s leading. I’m beyond grateful for you all!
