Caring For My Mother

Published: June 2, 2010 (Originally published: June 1, 2010)
Q

My family is struggling with whether or not it is appropriate to put an elderly parent with severe dementia in a nursing home. My Mother needs diaper changes, and 24 hour supervision and care. The only way I could care for her is to be separated from my husband, who also has a serious illness and needs my help. My Mother has been staying with another relative who is at their wits end taking care of my mother, who because of the dementia is vicious to them, falsely accusing them of all sorts of things. We are all Christians and we forgive mother for her behavior, but the situation is very bad. Is it wrong to put a parent in a quality nursing home under these circumstances? I want to do what is right in God’s eyes.

What Happens At The Bema Seat Judgment?

Published: June 12, 2015 (Originally published: June 1, 2010)
Q

Thank you for always being there for all of us! I’m so glad that we have you. When we go in the Rapture and are at the Bema Seat judgment, are we going to be going over the what we did good and what we did bad things? Are we going to be in a bad way for maybe some things we could have done better? Are our lives going to be sifted through like the White Throne judgments? I asked this because of what some kids were told at youth group that really frightened them.

Rosh Hashanah Rapture?

Published: September 11, 2010 (Originally published: September 10, 2010)
Q

Some Messianic Jewish teachers and lay individuals teach that during Feast of Trumpets at a certain point in time the Lord will initiate the Rapture of the Church. Can the Church, predominantly gentile, assume the Rapture will occur at some point during that appointed Jewish feast?

End Times Revival?

Published: September 12, 2010 (Originally published: September 11, 2010)
Q

A group of us have made it a habit to meet regularly due to our love of Christ and interest in the end times. However, I have some concerns about the majority expectation that we will receive a latter blessing which surpasses the miracles Christ did (how does one surpass bringing someone back to life?!). My interpretation of Joel and other passages leads me to believe this blessing will accompany Christ’s return to earth at the millennium. My friends think we are expecting this blessing any minute for the true church and that we will be responsible for converting thousands to Christ in the end times.

Married Or Not? More Follow Up

Published: September 13, 2010 (Originally published: September 12, 2010)
Q

I found your website 9 months ago and look forward to reading it on a daily basis. It is awesome and have learned so much. However I have to disagree with you on your stand on living together without being married.. How do you explain what the bible says that fornicators will not enter the kingdom on God? Also, since fallen angels had sex with mortal women, and we will be like the angels, does that not mean that when we go to heaven, we will also have sex?

More On Faith Plus Works

Published: February 7, 2015 (Originally published: September 12, 2010)
Q

My question is from James 2:14-18 where it says you must have works with faith to be saved. This contradicts some of the other teachings that we acknowledge Jesus as our savior and believe that he died for our sins. And didn’t Jesus say belief in Him is the only thing God requires of us?

A Famine Of The Word, Follow Up

Published: September 14, 2010 (Originally published: September 13, 2010)
Q

Your answer to a reader’s question about the coming famine of the Lord’s word urged me to further pursue the matter. We have been searching high & low for a Biblically sound church to attend in our area, with no success. It would seem that there is a growing famine within the church right now. I’ve witnessed pastors plagiarizing sermons of others, mini sermonettes that bear little resemblance to Bible doctrine, rock & roll bands that sound hideous, church services that preach what people want to hear, and not the Bible. This is distressing, to say the least. I’m sure there are many out there that are nodding their heads in agreement. What are your thoughts?

Did They Go To Heaven Or Paradise?

Published: September 14, 2010 (Originally published: September 13, 2010)
Q

It is my understanding that OT Saints went to paradise when they died and that they did not go to Heaven until after Christ’s resurrection. Yet, an OT Saint was “snatched” away (raptured). Did he go to heaven before Christ ascended to sit at the right hand of God? What about the Thief of the Cross? Did he go to Paradise or Heaven?

Did Jesus Sin?

Published: May 24, 2014 (Originally published: September 4, 2010)
Q

A co-worker stated today that Jesus did “sin.” She said that Jesus lost his temper and started throwing things in the temple. She said showing anger is a sin. She also stated that God is a jealous God and has shown much wrath. Jealousy is also a sin. How do I respond?

Rev. 6 And The Magnetic Polar Reversals

Published: September 8, 2010 (Originally published: September 7, 2010)
Q

Could you explain what you were referring to when you stated in one of your answers that the 6th seal in Rev. 6 could occur in 2012? The person who sent in the question to which you replied, also agreed that the 6th seal could happen during that year. What is prompting you to say that?
