Islam And The End Times, Follow Up

Q

If you look at Catholicism, the people who practice it worship Mary and the Pope and participate in non-Biblical rituals. Do you suppose there will be a large number of them left after the Rapture? That would seem to be a large group of people to possibly be the one world religious system.

Purifying The Church?

Published: June 27, 2014 (Originally published: May 8, 2011)
Q

1 John 3:2 (KJV) says, “Beloved, now are we the sons of God, and it doth not yet appear what we shall be: but we know that, when he shall appear, we shall be like him; for we shall see him as he is.” I have two questions about this verse.

1. Doesn’t this nail as incorrect what I have heard is being taught in some charismatic circles, that Christ cannot appear until the church is purified?

2. Does the “for” in “for we shall see him as he is” indicate that our seeing him is part of what will make us “be like him?”

Catastrophic Events Before The Rapture?

Published: June 3, 2010 (Originally published: June 2, 2010)
Q

I want to start by saying that I really enjoyed reading your study on Ezekiel 38. It was very instructive and wonderfully written. I do however, have a question. You mentioned in the study as stated by Ezekiel that the Gog Magog battle will take place when Israel is living is safety in a land without walls (paraphrasing). Your postulation is that this event will take place after the rapture, My question is this, how forward in the future will this event take place after the rapture?

It is implausible to think that a world which could easily see over 1/3 of its 6 billion inhabitants vanish would be in any state other than that of heightened alert. This is specially true with a nation like Israel. This is the part of the study which raises a question for me as to the timing of the rapture and whether we will perhaps witness some catastrophic events before the rapture. I would love to hear your clarification on this.

A Matter Of Time

Published: May 23, 2010 (Originally published: May 22, 2010)
Q

I been studying the Bible and have two questions. First of all how long a man can physically live. In Genesis 6:3 the Lord said, “My Spirit will not contend with man forever, for he is mortal; his days will be a hundred and twenty years.” Is that where God set a specific time frame for man?

My second question is, is time in the old testament portrayed the same way as it is now? Ex. Adam lived 930 years, Seth lived 913 years, and so forth, and so the “decline” of mans life span began. But the Bible also says this, in 2nd peter 3:8 “But do not forget this one thing, dear friends: With the Lord a day is like a thousand years, and a thousand years are like a day.” Now I know that that is taken out of context but do you believe that when God speaks of say 913 years for Seth it was a different measurement of time?

Who Are These People?

Published: May 24, 2010 (Originally published: May 23, 2010)
Q

In studying Revelation 21 & 22, I am perplexed by the verses that talk about the nations living on the New Earth and why they need the leaves of the tree of life for healing. Who are these people and where did they come from? Do they have glorified bodies also?

Pregnant Women And Nursing Mothers

Published: May 24, 2010 (Originally published: May 23, 2010)
Q

Thanks for taking the time to read my question. I think I read somewhere on your website that babies unborn and children under the age of accountability would be raptured. But Luke 21:23 says: How dreadful it will be in those days for pregnant women and nursing mothers! There will be great distress in the land and wrath against this people. What is your take on this verse?

More On Pre-Born Babies And The Rapture

Published: May 25, 2010 (Originally published: May 24, 2010)
Q

In regards to the article ‘Pre-born babies in the rapture’. First Rom. 7:9 says nothing about the age of accountability that I can tell. And you said that you think that babies still in the womb of unbelieving mothers would be taken in the rapture, at the moment of the rapture. Am I correct in believing this is what you said? That could be seen as a whole lot of self induced abortions. Thank you for clarifying this for me.

Tribulation Children

Published: May 25, 2010 (Originally published: May 24, 2010)
Q

I am concerned about the little children who are conceived after the Rapture. I know Jesus will return before they reach an age of accountability, so their salvation is assured. But I worry about what their lives will be like during the 70th week, and especially during the Great Tribulation.

Is there anything in scripture to suggest that those innocent little ones will receive some form of divine protection/consolation to minimize their suffering during that period? Will the merciful and loving God “see to their well-being” in some way; even if it is by removing them quickly to His presence?
