Our Itching Ears Follow Up

Published: August 20, 2008
Q

With the scriptures telling us that Jesus fulfilled the first three feasts we can assume that God has the fall feasts in the plan also. Whether or not He will return in 2015 only God knows. To have new revelations come to light such as this is exciting. To see how our God is a God of patterns and to see Him in the Hebraic context is enlightening. These are God’s feasts, and His appointments.

You are correct in that so many things must take place according to scripture before the tribulation could begin this fall 2008. But it does not negate the exciting discovery of these coming eclipses. What it all means, and the significance if any, of these discoveries, only God knows. It excites me to know He’s up to something by revealing this, and I can rest in that alone.

Russia, Georgia, And Ezekiel 38

Published: August 13, 2008
Q

with the whole Russia/Georgia thing going on everyone on the Christian bulletin boards are saying Gog/Magog invasion is on the horizon (or here). What do you think? With Israel right in the middle, supplying Georgia weapons and telling Russia they will disable the S-300 system the Russians are sending to Iran, could one of these be the hook? Or does Israel have to bomb Iran to get such a reaction?

Are All Children Raptured?

Published: August 13, 2008
Q

I do not believe that “all” children will be raptured as some teach. First an analogy of the last days judgment could be the story of Sodom and Gomorrah. There no children were spared.

Second…and a better analogy…would be the story of Noah. There, all breathing life was destroyed, except that which was on the ark (i.e. Noah and his wife and children), and all the remaining children on earth were destroyed with no exception.

Third…the first part of the tribulation is described like “the days of Noah”….”eating and drinking and marrying” (business as usual…odd if a billion children had disappeared) and thus a parallel is made between the two events.

Fourth during the last half of the 7 year tribulation the earth dwellers are described as having trouble getting enough food….a problem that would certainly be exacerbated by the presence of unbelievers children desperately needing to be fed.

Fifth logic dictates and scripture suggests that a “believers” children will be raptured/saved (e.g. Noah’s children) but an “unbelievers” children will not be raptured/saved (e.g. all children of unbelievers in Noah’s day).

Mediums And Pornographers

Published: August 12, 2008
Q

I have two questions:

1) Can the medium really be able to invite the dead to communicate with the living? I remember King Saul actually ask a medium to invite Samuel’s soul to talk to King Saul.

2) Pornography is sin, that is for sure. Would the Lord still offer forgiveness to people who are addicted to pornography and are seeking help to be delivered?

How Long Is Long?

Published: August 12, 2008
Q

I have a question I hope you can help me with. In I Corinthians chapter 11 verse 14 it says, “Doth not even nature itself teach you, that, if a man have long hair, it is a shame unto him?”

What is long hair? How long does it have to be to be long? How long was hair in Jesus day?

Baptism For The Dead

Published: August 8, 2008
Q

Thanks again for your amazing work for the Lord. I have a question regarding 1 Corinthians 15:29. I’ve read three different versions (NIV, KJV, NLT) and they all say the same thing, that people were being baptized for the dead. It doesn’t appear that Paul was in any way chastising this practice. What is your take on this? My NIV says that there is no further reference to this practice in the bible.

In The Millennium, Who Lives Where?

Published: August 8, 2008
Q

I’m confused about the New Jerusalem & the Earth. Who is going back and forth? Who is living on the Earth? Is God in NJ or Earth? It sounds like He is both places, if so, why? I really appreciate all your answers and explanations. Thank you.

The Baptism Of The Holy Spirit

Q

What is baptism of Holy Spirit? Do we have it when we say the sinner’s prayer? Does Holy Spirit convict us of sin or righteousness? Thanks for answering once again!

Is He The One?

Published: August 6, 2008
Q

I really appreciate your site and the way God is using it to help His people understand His Word. I’ll ask this question because if I don’t, someone else will.

When I saw the charismatic candidate rising in popularity I thought he would be like the last one of his party. When or if elected he would just serve his term(s) and do his damage and fade away, but now I wonder. He is practically worshiped in Europe and has done nothing but talk yet.

The infamous dictator of the last century was worshiped in his own country but only after he did temporarily help his country’s economic problems (albeit through war).

I thought I understood the Bible’s prediction concerning the nationality of the final world dictator but I find myself wondering if I could possibly have misunderstood especially in light of the recent apparent acceleration in prophetic events in the world. In your opinion is this man qualified only to be a type by Bible restrictions or is it possible he is the one?

The Woman In The Basket

Published: August 4, 2008
Q

I have a speculation on the woman (wicked) placed in the basket covered with a lead seal and taken to the plains of Shinar. Could it be the United Nations? Folks in New York would love to get rid of those guys.
