Believing In God And The Anti-Christ

Published: December 14, 2014
Q

The destruction of the northern invasion’s troops and allies with obvious supernatural intervention is said to show the Lord’s greatness and make Him known among nations (Ezek. 38:23), but apparently, this is not the same as the kind of acknowledgment that Zech. 12:10 speaks of, with Israel turning to Jesus as Messiah as a nation? I don’t understand how Israel could proceed to follow the anti-Christ if they had turned back to the Lord after the Ezek. battle. Ezek. 39:22 says: “The house of Israel shall know that I am the Lord their God, from that day forward”.

How can they know that and then proceed to follow the anti-Christ? Is Jesus as Messiah still out of their minds until the second coming and instead, Israel thinks that the anti-Christ is the messiah until then, and they are following God without Jesus by building the temple? The timing doesn’t fit the whole picture otherwise.

Why 1948 And Not The Abomination?

Published: December 13, 2014
Q

You’ve said that the first specific sign Jesus gave to His disciples concerning His coming is in Matt. 24:15, the Abomination of Desolation. Why then do you conclude that the first sign of the End of the Age was the re-birth of Israel?

Will The Anti-Christ Come From Rome?

Published: December 13, 2014
Q

We watch the Hal Lindsey Report. This last Sunday he said his interpretation of the scripture is the antichrist will come out of Rome. I think he said this came out of the book of Daniel. Can you tell me if this is something you agree with?

I enjoy reading your articles and answers to questions daily. My question is this: How will the believing Gentiles provoke the Jews to jealousy?

Christmas And Santa Claus

Published: December 13, 2014
Q

My family has celebrated Christmas eve together at my grandparents house since before I was born. By family I mean my grandparents, their 5 kids, and 13 grand kids of which I am one. Now there are great-grand kids, of which my daughter is one.

Last year, after many years of not having one, they decided to buy a santa suit and I along with everyone else was happy that the kids would see santa. However I am now of the opinion that santa is at worst a false god and at best a stumbling block, as such, I will not attend and I will not teach my daughter that santa is real.

My family seems to have a problem with this. My mom has threatened to not attend a separate Christmas dinner at my house, also saying things like, my mind is clouded, God is angry with me, I need to quit listening to crazy preachers on the internet, etc. I am not condemning them for having santa there, I just want no part of it. How can I get them to understand my reasoning on this matter? any help will be greatly appreciated.

Who Was The Lord Prophetically Speaking To?

Published: December 12, 2014
Q

I believe in pre-tribulation rapture. From my research I believe Matt. 24:40-42 are referencing the Second Coming (and not the Rapture). Matthew 24:40-41 says, “Then there shall be two men in the field; one will be taken, and one will be left. Two women will be grinding at the mill; one will be taken, and one will be left.” Who are the ones taken, and who are the ones left ? Also who is Jesus prophetically telling to keep watch in Matt. 24:42?

No Other Reasons For Divorce?

Published: December 9, 2014
Q

How does the issue of divorce apply to a battered spouse and/or if the husband is abusing the children physically? I know of situations like this and there does not seem to be any Bible teaching addressing this because the only valid reason for divorce is adultery or if an unbelieving spouse wants it. In the “real world” these kinds of things are happening and people are seeking answers and they need a biblical response.

Sex Between Marriages?

My ex-husband and I were never remarried. We are considering getting back together. Is it a sin to have sex before remarrying? Are we still married in God’s eyes?

The Samson Option

Published: December 7, 2014
Q

I have recently come across mention of “The Samson Option”. Would such action even be possible in light of prophecy? I can’t imagine it would, given that the inevitable outcome appears to be the complete destruction of both Israel and whomever she would attack in such an operation.
