Tribulation In 2015?

Published: September 17, 2014
Q

An online news service recently wrote an article entitled “Will Tribulation Begin a Year From Now?” In the article, the author uses some kind of calculations to determine that Fall 2015 could possibly be the beginning of the Tribulation. Do you think this is likely? Is it possible to predict the beginning of the Tribulation period?

Who Is That In Rev. 7:1-9?

Published: September 17, 2014
Q

In Revelation 7:9-17… I had always been taught that this was the scene of the Rapture. I have read your articles regarding these being Tribulation saints, but I am confused about them serving before the throne of God day and night. Won’t that throne be in the New Jerusalem? If it is here on earth and Revelation 22 gives a picture of this throne, then it seems that we won’t get to be in the presence of the Lord in the New Jerusalem, only the Trib saints will.

The Sound Of Trumpets

Published: September 17, 2014
Q

My wife has heard 4 trumpet sounds in 4 years, she feels that another 3 and then something momentous will happen. I have researched on the Net and many people have heard these but not all at the same time. I thought that the trumpet calls would happen in the tribulation.

Food Sacrificed To Idols

Published: September 16, 2014
Q

I have a question about eating halal food. I understand that we have freedom in Christ to eat what ever we want. But Paul wrote, “But if any man say unto you, This is offered in sacrifice unto idols, eat not for his sake that showed it, and for conscience sake: for the earth [is] the Lord’s, and the fullness thereof: (1 Cor 10:28)

The Apostles and Elders of the church in Jerusalem gave letters to Paul that said, “That ye abstain from meats offered to idols, and from blood, and from things strangled, and from fornication: from which if ye keep yourselves, ye shall do well. Fare ye well (Acts 15:29.)

Jesus Christ himself said: “But I have a few things against thee, because thou hast there them that hold the doctrine of Balaam, who taught Balac to cast a stumbling block before the children of Israel, to eat things sacrificed unto idols, and to commit fornication” (Rev 2:14), and “Notwithstanding I have a few things against thee, because thou sufferest that woman Jezebel, which calleth herself a prophetess, to teach and to seduce my servants to commit fornication, and to eat things sacrificed unto idols” (Rev 2:20). Can you straighten me out on this?

More On The Harbinger

Published: September 16, 2014
Q

In your article, “A Critique Of The Harbinger” you wrote: “It’s clear that America’s unbelievers don’t want the Church to save them, and the only believers still fighting for America’s future are the ones who don’t understand what’s ahead for the Church.”

I know you didn’t say that we shouldn’t go vote, but the second part of that sentence is exactly why it seems utterly pointless to participate in any future elections. Should we go through the motions these days by voting? I suppose we should for no other reason than because we don’t need to roll over like whipped dogs and give up. Trouble is that the choices with any chance of winning tend to be between the greater and the lesser of two evils.

Jewish Believers In The Church?

Published: September 16, 2014
Q

In Acts 15:14-18 James said that before returning to rebuild David’s fallen tabernacle, Jesus will first take from among the Gentiles a people for himself. I have always believed he was referring to the Church which includes Jews who believe in Jesus during the church age even though they are not Gentiles. Is that correct?

Am I Committing Fornication?

Published: September 16, 2014
Q

Thank you for your wonderful site – what a blessing! The man I am dating is still legally married. His wife moved out some time ago, but she has cancer and cannot get health insurance on her own. They have agreed to remain married on paper for 2 more years, during which time she will be covered by his policy. We are contemplating marriage later down the road, and have agreed to be celibate until we are legally married. While we are not having sex, I wonder – am I committing fornication by having ANY physical contact with him?

Outrageous Claims?

Published: September 16, 2014
Q

I don’t understand how you can claim that prophecy students and theologians can know when the Second Coming will take place when not even Jesus Christ himself knew. The only one who knows is God himself, so why do you and others, make such outrageous claims?

Building Israel’s Temple

Published: September 15, 2014
Q

I truly believe we are in the last days. There is so much evidence of it in society’s ways and just how everything is playing out. I have a question, however. I realize that Israel is getting closer and closer to being ready to rebuild the Temple. Could it be rebuilt, in your estimation, within a few years?

Deceived By The Apostate Church?

Published: September 14, 2014
Q

My question has to do with the “falling away” of 2 Thes. 2:3. I understand that many will be deceived by/into the apostate church of the End Times through various avenues. If someone starts out as a true Christian but in the process of living becomes deceived and does not realize nor repent of this but continues to sincerely believe they are following Jesus even though they have fallen away from the Gospel they were saved with and their relationship with Jesus, have they lost their salvation?
