ISIL And Psalm 83?
Published: September 4, 2014It’s interesting that the “L in “ISIL” (the name by which the al-Qaeda group originally called themselves, and by which our current administration still refers to them) stands for “Levant”, which incorporates the countries (Lebanon, Syria, Israel, and Jordan, along with portions of southern Turkey and the Sinai peninsula) that are indicated in Psalm 83.
I’m sure it’s just one more of those “chasing prophecy with headlines” things, but it does make you wonder if IS going to eventually stage an attack on Israel that results in the Psalm 83 prophecy being fulfilled?
Is There Another Way?
Published: September 4, 2014I have loved ones who are not saved. They are really wonderful loving people that have had a terrible experience with “religion” and are just confused. Plus you know how the enemy can cause people to have blinders. I pray for them every day and realize there is only so much I can do but it’s hard when I know we are so close to the rapture. Is there a possibility that God may allow those who were confused, under satanic attack, or for whatever reason (besides the known issues such as mentally unable or small children etc) another chance to repent?
Separated Forever?
Published: September 4, 2014I want to thank you for clearing up a lot of questions for me. Here’s another one. I read your series called The End Times According to Ezekiel Part 7 and there’s something I don’t quite understand.
You are comparing the descriptions of the New Jerusalem with Jehovah Shammah. In the last two paragraphs you state that Heaven is the New Jerusalem where we will dwell with the Lord forever, while the Holy City on Earth is Jehovah Shammah where God will dwell in the midst of His people Israel forever. This sounds like we will be separated from the Jewish people forever in eternity . Can you clear this up for me?
Counseling A Friend
Published: September 3, 2014I have a Jewish friend, very intelligent, also quite moral — I have been praying for her and believe the Lord is working in her life, to bring her to a place where she will look to Him for answers. When I suggest that God loves her and is trying to get her attention by the situations in her life, she points to how moral she is and just doesn’t “get” it. She keeps asking “why, why, why?” I do not want to offend her with the responses you could give to a gentile, but might not be understood or appreciated by a Jewish person. Any suggestions?
Passover And FirstFruits
Published: September 3, 2014My question relates to the day in which we recognize the resurrection of Christ. In one or two articles you say that Christ rose again on the Sunday after Passover. There is a problem with that because Passover jumps to different days on our Gregorian calendar. Do you say that it is the Sunday after Passover in order to keep it simple for those who don’t know?
Sin and Iniquity
Published: September 3, 2014I always thought iniquity and sin were the same thing. Recently I was informed that they are different. Could you please help me to understand this difference through scripture.
Won’t They All Freeze?
Published: September 3, 2014Matt. 24:29 says that immediately after the end of the Great Tribulation the Sun will be darkened and the Moon will not give it’s light. How can that happen without everyone freezing to death?
The Israel Of God
Published: September 1, 2014I was wondering if you could clarify for me what Paul was referring to in Galatians 6:16 when he said, “And as many as walk according to this rule [neither circumcision nor uncircumcision availing to anything], peace and mercy be upon them, and upon the Israel of God. I don’t know how many times I’ve read passed this and probably always switched it in my mind to be the “God of Israel.” But does this verse imply then that the church is in itself accounted as Israel in God’s eyes or is there something else to it? I’m aware that we as believers are grafted in as wild olive branches, but is that the same thing? Thanks so much for your help.
Chariots And Horsemen?
Published: September 1, 2014In a question about ISIS (the Islamic State) you referenced Daniel 11:40 which says in part, “The King of the North will storm against him with chariots, horseman, and many ships”. Will ‘chariots’ and ‘horseman’ be used in today’s technology world, so to speak, if this is speaking of the times we are in now?
More On The Day And Hour
Published: September 1, 2014Matt 24:36 begins with “No one knows about that day or hour …” and, if I’m not wrong, this passage refers to Jesus Christ’s second coming, but this second coming happens exactly 1260 after the abomination of desolation and so it looks like it is precisely predictable. If that is true, could that sentence in any way be referable to the rapture, event of which we cannot know the day nor the hour?”
