Is Israel At Peace?
Published: June 12, 2014Some teachers who deny Psalm 83 as a prophecy claim that Israel is now living in the time of peace that will cause them to be taken by surprise when the battle of Ezekiel 38 comes. I know you believe in Psalm 83, but do you think the part about them living in peace could be true?
Back Slidden Brides Maids?
Published: June 12, 2014I am confused. Most bible commentaries I have read suggest that the foolish virgins represent Christians who have become ‘backslidden’ and do not seek a true relationship with Our Lord or those who have been ‘given over to their sin’ (1 Cor 5:5), but haven’t yet cried out to God for the mercy of His Grace. I would be grateful for your comments.
Tribulation Believers. Follow up.
Published: June 12, 2014Re: Tribulation Believers. You mention that the difference between the Church and tribulation believers lies in the basis of our faith. You wrote “we believe though we have not seen”, “we” being the Church. How then do you explain the apostles and all who came to faith as a result of being with Jesus and witnessing the miracles during his ministry on earth? I believe they are considered a part of the Church since the old testament saints end with John the Baptist. Jesus even specifically mentions to Thomas when he needed to see His hands and feet for proof, saying “Because you have seen Me, have you believed? Blessed are they who did not see, and yet believed.” This leads me to believe the difference between the two believers lies solely in the Holy Spirit, which seals us as we are reborn into a new creation. What are your thoughts?
Should Women Cover Their Heads In Church?
Published: June 11, 2014I periodically re-read sections of the bible. Each time I find more that I did not see before. This time I am in 1 Corinthians 11. I am concerned that I need to cover my head when I worship or pray. This chapter speaks about honoring your head (authority over you). It says men should be uncovered and women covered. I know that women used to wear hats etc. to church on Sunday but that’s no longer the case anymore (at least in my church). Can you expand on what this chapter is referring to?
I Feel Unworthy
Published: June 11, 2014I understand salvation is by grace through faith alone ….. but deep down I still have this ‘something’ that tells me that I am not good enough or doing things right enough, or confessing enough, or confessing to the right people, or being a good enough Christian in any way that would please God or have Him do anything for me. I understand all you say and teach in my mind and in my heart, but deep down in my gut I still feel unworthy. Why is that?
Tribulation Believers
Published: June 10, 2014You have said that tribulation believers will not have the same guarantee that God will keep their salvation firm and safe as we (the church) do. I’ve been reading and I can see the difference between the two groups, but a couple of questions came to my mind. Could you please explain to me why the different treatment for those two groups since God does not make any difference between persons, or in this case does he?
Clean And Unclean
Published: June 10, 2014Could you explain Isaiah 66:17. Is this saying that when Jesus returns all those eating pigs and rats and other abominable things will be condemned?
Why Do We Still Confess?
Published: June 9, 2014The Bible is very clear that I, as a Born again believer have been passed from eternal death unto eternal life right now because Jesus took all my sins, including future sins, to the Cross and dealt with them there once for all, never to bring them up again to my presence for ever. The above being the truth, as also given in Rom. 8:1, why is 1 John 1:9 applied to born again believers as well?
A Baptism Question
Published: June 9, 2014I have been born again for more than three years and have not been baptized. I live in South Africa and we don’t have a church here that believes like I do, only the Dutch Reformed church which believes in replacement theology and practices infant baptism. There is no other church in our town or surrounding towns. Can my wife baptize me? She is the only person I can ask that I’m certain off that is born again. Please help!!!!!!!
Taking The Righteous Away
Published: June 9, 2014I know you stay very busy with the ministry and may God bless you for it! Can you tell me if there is any verse in the Bible which says something to the effect of “God takes the righteous away early to spare them from evil”? It seems that I remember reading something along these lines at one time, though I can’t remember if it was biblical or if it was merely someone’s opinion.
