Is Ecclesiastes 9:5 About This Life Or Eternity?

Published: April 17, 2013
Q

Could you please interpret Ecclesiastes 9:5, “But the dead know nothing”. Is it related to our future eternal lives?

The Rapture And The First Resurrection

Q

I just read an article about the first resurrection that has shaken my belief in the pre-trib rapture. Can you show me why the writer has to be mistaken?

A Temple In Heaven?

Published: April 17, 2013
Q

Could you give me some scripture for Christ sprinking his blood upon an actual “Mercy Seat” in heaven. My pastor says he can’t find any scripture for a “heavenly mercy seat” piece of furnishing where Christ sprinkled his blood after his resurrection. I was taught that the earthly tabernacle and all it’s furnishings were a picture of what was coming in Christ and his sacrifice on our behalf. I didn’t realize there is an actual temple with furnishings in Heaven.

OSAS And 1 Cor. 9:25-27

Q

I disagree with this idea of once save forever saved. In (1 Cor.9:27) The Apostle Paul wrote under the inspiration of the Holy Spirit, “But I keep under my body, and bring it into subjection: lest that by any means, when I have preached to others, I myself should be a castaway.” How do we explain the word castaway? Paul knew that he was saved, if you are correct, how could Paul be a castaway?

Can He Reject His Faith? Follow up

Q

Re: Can He Reject His Faith? If the only unpardonable sin is rejection of Jesus and his precious gift of salvation, wouldn’t the woman’s husband be committing this sin in his overt rejection of Jesus and his promise even after ostensibly being saved?

To Eternity And Beyond

Q

I have two questions, in Revelation 19:20 it says the beast and the false prophet were thrown alive into the lake of fire. Did they receive resurrected bodies, or were they thrown in to the lake of fire in their earthly bodies? If so what will happen to them? Also, at the end of the millennium what type of bodies will the believers in Christ have and what type of bodies will the non-believers have as they enter eternity?

Gentiles In The Millennium?

Published: April 15, 2013
Q

I’ve recently been going through a video study of the Revelation. In the section on Rev 3: 7-13, the teacher says that all gentiles who come to faith during the tribulation will be killed (beheaded). He references Rev 11:7, equating (being) overcome with killed (the 2 witnesses) and then Rev 13:7 (where the beast again overcomes, but gentile believers this time) and then Rev 13:15, where “as many as will not” take the mark are killed. I had always understood that some portion of gentile believers would survive without taking the mark, thereby becoming the sheep in the sheep/goat division. It doesn’t make sense to me that no one but Jews survive into the MK, otherwise how could the “nations” come to Jerusalem to worship since they would all be Israel? So, are all gentile tribulation saints all killed or do some survive?

Born Again, But Going To Hell?

Published: April 15, 2013
Q

I have come across yet another Christian who claims to have died from a stroke and after leaving his body found himself on the way to hell! Yes, there are many people proclaiming to be Christians who are not saved, but this man claims he was born again, filled with the Holy Spirit, could speak in tongues, had prayers answered e.t.c. Apparently when he died he realized he had not been living for the Lord like the Lord wanted him to, therefore was on his way to hell! He pleaded with the Lord who allowed him another chance! He floated back into his body and narrowly missed being sent down a very dark tunnel.

What I want to know is this: I do not believe we can lose our salvation and this man is claiming we somehow have to keep it up! How come some of these Christians are experiencing trips to hell? I need to get to the bottom of how and why this is happening. The man seems very sincere but is now telling people if they slip up on their walk they lose salvation. Thanks for helping me understand what exactly happened.

A Third Testament For The Millennium?

Published: April 14, 2013
Q

Re: “More On The Millennial Believers”. Could it be that writing the third testament will be one of the things that the church will do from the New Jerusalem? People are always asking and speculating on what the church’s purpose will be after the rapture and bema seat. Maybe some will be assigned to write another testament. I can hardly wait to see what it is that he has in store for us.

Can He Reject His Faith?

Published: April 14, 2013
Q

My husband of 25 years told me several months ago that he is considering rejecting his faith and becoming an atheist. We have both been Christians for almost 30 years. We raised four kids and served in the church together. He did not fake his faith or try to fool anyone or pretend. I believe in my heart that he was born again and filled with the Holy Spirit. I have been in anguish since he told me this because I believe if he says there is no God or Savior that he will not go to Heaven. He has handed back his salvation and said no thanks. Is this possible?
