Leave Jerusalem Alone, Follow Up
Published: August 2, 2009I just finished reading this week’s article, Leave Jerusalem Alone.” You cited Zechariah 8:3 This is what the LORD says: I will return to Zion and dwell in Jerusalem. Then Jerusalem will be called the City of Truth, and the mountain of the LORD Almighty will be called the Holy Mountain. How can God dwell in Jerusalem if the third Temple is built in Shiloh? Do you think Jerusalem will have new boundaries in the Millennium?
Should I Contribute?
Published: August 2, 2009I live in South Africa. I enjoy your teachings and am a regular reader and pupil learning, checking, comparing etc. My pastor announced this week that he was invited to the Congo, to do some teachings there, and it will be for some time. We agreed some time ago that if God sends you, God will provide everything, and there should not be any problems. He told us previously that How God had provided miraculously and witnessed about it. During the service he said that if anybody feels led to contribute towards his trip, they should come and speak to Him after the sermon.
I have some money available, and I feel that if I ask God to make clear to me the exact amount the pastor needs, that both of us will be spiritually stirred and lifted by it as He will then know that it is God’s plan, and I will know that God heard me, and answered my prayers, and I will be blessed by hearing God’s voice/answer.
I really expect an answer from God, as I want to be a good steward of His money. What if I give and he goes to the Congo and it is not God’s will? Is it wrong from me to expect a reply from my Father? I do not want to tell God what to do and how, but want confirmation and peace in Him.
What Can Keep Us From Being Saved?
Published: July 31, 2009My question: When I became a Christian at 19 it was because someone told me about Jesus Christ dying for my sins. I didn’t know anything else except I wanted Him as my Lord. I built my doctrine from there by reading the Bible and attending churches and fellowships.I’d like to know what you believe can keep a person from actually having been saved.
Understanding Rev. 20-22
Published: July 31, 2009The question you recently answered on Revelation 22 reminded me I had one, too. The timing of things confuses me. It looks like we’ve had the Great White Throne Judgment in Revelation 20. So why are there still liars & murders & idolaters outside the gates of the city? Is the city the New Jerusalem?
We are grateful to you for all your help, and grateful to the Lord for you.
Rev. 22:1-6 Follow Up
Published: July 30, 2009On your reply to the question on Revelation 22:1-6. I do not understand how one comes to the belief that this is in Israel, and as for the growing seasons, I don’t understand how one can think there are growing seasons for this tree either as it clearly says that there is no day or night for God is our continual light and the river flows from the throne of God. Is not the throne of God in heaven?
Removing The Holy Spirit
Published: July 29, 2009In 2 Thess. 2 verses 6 and 7 it is speaking of the restraining and the restrainer. The commonly held belief is that in order for the Holy Spirit to stop restraining, the Church has to be gone. Why can’t He stop restraining the man of lawlessness just in obedience to the Father’s timing?
Pre 70th Week Rapture
Published: July 29, 2009You wrote: “According to 2 Thes. 2:7, the anti-Christ, AKA the man of lawlessness or son of perdition, can’t be revealed to begin the Great Tribulation until the “restrainer” is taken out of the way, or literally out of the midst.”
I understood that the 70th Week begins immediately after the Rapture and AC is revealed at that time because the Restrainer is removed then. The above sounds as if AC is not revealed until the Abomination, halfway through the 70th Week, or 42 months after the Rapture. So…
Relative to the Rapture, when does the 70th Week begin? When is AC revealed?
Is not the 70th Week synonymous with the Tribulation and the Great Tribulation only the last 42 months, starting with the Abomination?
Current Wars In The Middle East
Published: July 28, 2009How should we as Christians view the current war between USA and the middle east? I’m supporting a soldier in the middle east by writing to her … then I hear people saying what about the innocents of war and why support men and women who are sent to murder and kill? Whats Gods view on all this? Isn’t this war part of end times prophecy?
Will I Fit In?
Published: July 27, 2009Most people want to know about who’ll they’ll remember or see. My question is about our personalities. I’m not one for wanting to be around crowds. As for here on earth, being left alone with my bride and son on our homestead with our animals and garden suits me fine. Then there’s the time I spend with Jesus Christ alone with my bow chasing game to hunt or fish. Others might want to race about the universe but not me. There’s no marriages in heaven so my family won’t be together. Since there’s probably no killing in heaven I guess hunt’n and fish’n are out. The things the Lord has blessed me with here on earth probably won’t be available so would I have to reinvent who I am ?
The Mark Of The Beast?
Published: July 26, 2009The Pass ID Act, introduced on June 15 and referred to the Homeland Security and Governmental Affairs Committee; if enacted, it will erode personal freedoms by requiring all US citizens and legal residents to have a national identity card that will be needed to open a bank account, board an airplane, be able to vote, or conduct virtually all types of essential business; if embedded with an RFID chip, universal monitoring will be possible everywhere, all the time.
In your opinion and if it can be supported by Scripture, is this something that could be considered “we won’t be here” when and if this passes? Or do you think the Church will have to “pass the test” of accepting or denying this law? Obviously, I think a lot of people would be considering this the “mark of the beast” type scenario.
