Drying Up The Euphrates
Published: July 26, 2009On Monday, July 13th, the New York Times published an article that says the Euphrates River is drying up because of an extended drought and also due to Syria and Turkeys water policies. I would like your thoughts as to whether this might be a “set up” for the reference in Revelation 16 of the angel pouring out of the vial and drying up the river for the kings of the east to cross for their attack on Jerusalem (which will lead to the final battle, Armageddon)
” And the sixth angel poured out his vial upon the great river Euphrates; and the water thereof was dried up, that the way of the kings of the east might be prepared.” Rev. 16:12 (KJV)
Rejecting The Gospel
Published: July 25, 2009Will people who reject Jesus before the rapture have a chance at salvation post rapture? One Bible commentary I read said they will not, citing 2 Thes.2: 9-12.
Israel’s Second Re-Gathering
Published: July 24, 2009From reading in Isaiah, chapter 11 and 14, I have two questions. Isaiah 11:11-12, is this second time NOW (the first perhaps after the long Babylonian exile, then return and occupied during Jesus time)?
And again in Isaiah 14:1-2, is this also now and perhaps it is speaking of the Palestinians who cling to the house (or land) of Jacob, who will eventually become the servants of Israel?
Will The 3rd Temple Be Holy In God’s Sight?
Published: July 19, 2009The Sanhedrin has been recreated in Israel; the Temple Institute has made/is making Temple implements, priestly garments etc., all for the building of the Third Temple, and restoration of Temple Worship during the Tribulation. The Jews will believe it to be a valid, “real” Temple and their rites to be genuine — up to the time of the Abomination.
What does Scripture suggest will be God’s reaction/response be to Temple rituals performed in good faith by the Jews prior to the Abomination? Will He honor the sacrifices, etc. in any way? Will He indicate displeasure or rejection of the sacrifices in any way?
Saving Gentiles After The Rapture
Published: July 15, 2009I agree with you that after the cross God divided humanity into 3 parts: 1) Jews, God’s chosen, “earthly” people 2) The Church, Bride of Christ, “heavenly” people and 3) Gentiles, unbelievers, the ungodly. Prior to Pentecost all Gentiles were without Christ, aliens and strangers, afar off and without God in this world (Eph 2:11,12,17). Then the “pause” for the Church. After the Church is raptured, God will then turn his attention back to the Jews. There will be Gentiles at that time, but won’t they again be without Christ, aliens and strangers, afar off and without God in this world?
You state in your entry posted April 13, 2009 No Salvation After The Rapture? that Acts 15:13-18 confirms that Gentiles will be saved throughout the Great Tribulation. When I read verse 15 I understand it to be Jesus returning at the 2nd Coming and building the tabernacle of David for He states that “I” will build again the ruins thereof, and “I” will set it up. This has to be the Millennium and not the Tribulation.
A Partial Rapture In Rev. 2-3?
Published: July 14, 2009When you say there is nothing in the Bible that supports a partial rapture, my mind is drawn to the messages given to the seven churches of Revelation 2-3. With the exception of a couple, most of the churches were doing just fine, although the church of Philadelphia is the only one that receives no correction. They are also the only ones promised to be spared from the time of wrath.
Although I know the seven churches represent churches that literally existed at the time as well as prophetic throughout the church age, pretty much modern Christians can be classified into the seven descriptions of those churches. Is it possible the letters to the churches pertain to what you are saying here and that only the ‘Philadelphia style’ Christians go while the rest of the Christians stay behind?
Thanks for your time if you can reply! Also, what about the virgins when some were taken but some were left behind?
An Objection To Head Covering
Published: July 14, 20091 COR.11 seems to put women under the law much as circumcision did for men. Also, using the “2 witness” method, this cannot be supported elsewhere in scripture. Why do you teach that this has never been revoked?
Mary And Islam
Published: July 12, 2009I have a question regarding your comments about what religion would possibly be dominant during the tribulation. What are the Muslim beliefs in regards to Mary?
Post Rapture Salvation
Published: July 12, 2009My question is about those left behind after the Rapture. If a person has heard the Gospel of Jesus Christ before the rapture but has not yet accepted Jesus as Lord nor repented and made a true confession of faith, what are their chances of being saved during the tribulation? Is it impossible?
In this respect would Jews and Gentiles be in the same situation – or do the Jews have a chance to come to Christ because they still have the Abrahamic covenant?
I know that everyone who has not heard the Gospel is eligible to be saved during the tribulation – my concern is for those who are still on the planet after the Rapture and are too late to be part of the Church. Thank you as always for your Bible knowledge and generosity in sharing it with us.
The Great Pause, More Follow Up
Published: July 11, 2009Are you saying that after the Rapture, one must believe in Jesus ‘and’ subscribe to the Law? The plan obviously shifts to Israel but does this mean that no Gentiles have a chance after the Rapture? What is the purpose of the sacrifices in the Temple then? Is it only for the Jew? Which blood atonement will God recognize, that of the animals for the last 7 years or that of His Son? Will there be no grace after the Rapture?
