If I understand correctly, the millennium on earth will be populated by humans who were born during the tribulation or saved after the rapture. Why would God want us (believers) to be separated from our loved ones at the millennium? Believers won’t be with the humans alive on earth at that time, as I understand it. What if the people on earth include some of our children or grandchildren? Or a spouse or dear friend? We would be separated from our families or dear loved ones for 1,000 years. That seems harsh.

Prophecy wise, it looks as if all is coming together and yet when studying what the Word says and trying to fit in the every day events, I’m more confused than ever. I’ve just read about the U.S and Germany being friendly over some sort of “Single market” pact. Isn’t Germany in prophecy?

Also, the U.S. is still seeking a 2 state plan between Israel and the Palestinians. Doesn’t that put us at odds with God’s purposes? Are these not more signs of how close we are to the end?

I’m a Jew, but I believe in Jesus Christ and I got saved by his grace. Number of times I discussed the New Testament claims about Hell and Heaven with other Jewish people (unbelievers). Almost without exception they said they don’t believe in hell, because it was never mentioned in the Old Testament. I have read the whole bible number of times, and must agree that hell was not discussed much in the Old Testament. As a matter of fact, I found only few really “good” passages on the subject (one is in the 12th chapter of the book of Daniel if I’m not mistaken). It seems like that the Old Testament understanding of salvation never went beyond the concept of the “Promised Land” (earthly) if you know what I mean. Why? I know that the bible teaches progressive revelation by dispensation. But why salvation wasn’t stressed much if it is the most important detail of all?

I’ve heard several well known preachers making a claim that it never rained before the great flood. Is that so? Does the bible actually discuss it? Some say that rain was never mentioned before the flood, that’s why they assumed it never rained. I personally find it hard to believe. If it never rained, how did God manage to sustain the life on the planet?

Also, does the bible actually say that it took Noah 120 years to build the ark? Where is that in the bible?

I’ve written a few times before and I have a new question. I’m hearing a lot these days from the pre-wrath rapture camp that the Tribulation period is only 3.5 years instead of the traditional view of being 7 years long. They say that the Bible does not support a 7 year tribulation, but instead a 3.5 year tribulation. I do know that the Bible describes the last 3.5 years of the tribulation period as a time of “great tribulation”, but it was my understanding that the seal judgments are also part of God’s wrath, judgment, etc. and they clearly occur at the beginning of tribulation period. Do you support the tribulation period being 7 years long? Or if you don’t, could you please address this issue?

What era will the 1000 year Kingdom replicate? For example, the 1950’s, etc? I loved the ’50’s and would like to have 1000 years to enjoy its innocence.

During the tribulation, do people get saved the same way we are now? That is, by a personal acknowledgment one’s own sinfulness and need of the Savior and by accepting Christ as that Savior?

I was curious because after the rapture, the “power that holds back” will be taken away (and many take this to mean the Holy Spirit), allowing the lawless one to come forth. When we accept Christ, the Holy Spirit is immediately given to us and resides within us. When people want to accept Christ during the Tribulation, will the Holy Spirit be available to them? If not, what are the spiritual implications of such a scenario?

With the 40th anniversary of the Six Day Middle East War approaching this coming June 5, could there be any prophetic significance in the anniversary? What is your opinion of this based on scripture? Thank you.

My mom, always a Baptist now finds herself company with people who belong to a Ukraine Orthodox Church. Her Ukraine friends take everything to their church to get blessed then gives items to my mom. My mom believes there are real blessings with these items given to her such as a loaf of bread, a palm branch a vase, etc. (My mom doesn’t use the items as idols but thinks highly of the blessings attached to the items) I don’t know anything about the Ukraine blessings and don’t know how to respond. I am a Christian and attend a non-denomination church. We believe in the teachings directly in the Bible. Do the Ukraine Orthodox people believe in the teachings of the Bible?

I was looking at Hosea 6:2, “After two days will he revive us: in the third day he will raise us up, and we shall live in his sight.” In 2 Pet 3:8, it is written that, “…one day [is] with the Lord as a thousand years, and a thousand years as one day.”

And from the book of Revelation and the book of Daniel we find that in Bible prophecy a year is 360 day, this too was used in the describing the time of flood in the day of Noah (Genesis 7:11,24; 8:3,4). However, currently we have 365 day/year plus leap year. For approximation, just for the fun of it, and use 365.25 day/year.

Now I interpret Hosea 6:2 as saying 2 day as 2000 years, and we have: 2000 X 360 / 365.25 = 1971.25 years.
