The Illuminati

Published: January 27, 2007
Q

Peace and Grace to you in Christ Jesus. I was recently shown a website called YouTube that had a thing about all of the secret symbols that are in our everyday life. The site showed symbols of pyramids, owls, diamonds, shields, and torches. These symbols are involved in just about every part of our life from the dollar bill to the White House to logos for many big businesses. I was told of a secret order of people called the Illuminati. I was wondering, do you know much of these things and how true it is that they are behind or could be behind many of the goings on in the world today? Thank you for your efforts.

Casting Out A Demon

Published: January 26, 2007
Q

In Mark 9:14-29 is Jesus saying that the unclean spirit in the boy can only be delivered through prayer and fasting only. Is this applicable in our day or do we have the authority to expel a demon?. If we were to pray and fast, will Jesus remove the demon without expelling it ourselves? What happens if the person is hostile to any sort of ministry?.

Anti Christ Religion

Published: January 26, 2007
Q

Hello, I have visited your site for quite a while and wanted to ask you if it is too bold to say that any religion that does not except our Heavenly Father, Jesus, and the Holy Spirit as our one GOD is anti Christ? Thank you and GOD BLESS.

Spouse Abuse

Published: January 26, 2007
Q

Thanks for your wonderful site! I wanted to get your opinion on divorce. I’m a bible believing Christian and my husband is a non-believer. I know that the Lord doesn’t like divorce and it’s only allowable if adultery is involved, but what about verbal and physical abuse? My husband has been verbally and physically abusing me and I ask that you keep me in your prayers. I can’t keep allowing myself to keep going through this, but he says he’s never going to grant me a divorce or let me leave. He also threatens to keep my two children. What does a Christian do in a situation like this? I’m wanting to protect my children and I but I don’t want to go against God’s word. Please keep me in your prayers thanks.

A Place Called Sheol

Published: January 24, 2007
Q

Is it true that in the days of the Old Testament the believers and nonbelievers who died before Christ went to a place called Sheol? If this is true what happened to them after the resurrection? During the three days that Christ earthly body lay in the tomb did he go to this place called Sheol and release their souls to heaven?

Edom First, Then Jerusalem

Published: January 21, 2007
Q

Isaiah 63 tells us about Jesus destroying Edom, when you compare this with Revelation 19:11-16 it almost sounds like Jesus does this before he brings the armies out of heaven. Am I just reading this wrong?

Who Lives In New Jerusalem?

Published: January 21, 2007
Q

You’ve probably addressed this before, but I can’t find a reference:

During the millennium, where will the Old-testament saints dwell? They were promised Israel as their inheritance, with David as their reigning king, but they also believed in a redeemer (which is why they are “saints”), which might qualify them for the “New Jerusalem” as born-again believers.

Sins Of The Father

Published: January 21, 2007
Q

Is the sin nature passed by the man? I recently heard a sermon about the deity of Jesus and the virgin birth. The preacher said that in order for the sin nature to not reside in Jesus, he had to be born of a virgin. I think he was emphasizing that God was the Father and thus divine. But this question came to mind. Mary had a sin nature, so how is it that it wasn’t passed on to her child?

Another Rapture Question

Q

I understand where you get your logic from in defending the pre-trib rapture, but I have to ask how you can ignore, or explain, the multitude of Scriptures that speak otherwise? (Here the questioner lists a number of Old and New Testament passages.)

Still More On tithing

Published: January 18, 2007
Q

I have one last question about tithing. Do you feel it is right to write off one’s tithes or offerings on one’s taxes? I never had before because I felt like that was in some way a violation of letting the left hand know what the right was doing or receiving some kind of earthly reward or acknowledgment. I seem to be the only person that feels that way. What is your take on the matter?
