Week in Review March 24 2018

Our outreaches continue in India and Mexico!  And on the site, as always, we’re learning the Word. Continue reading for photos from our outreaches this week as well as a recap of all the posts on the site.

It’s been an amazing week! In last week’s review post, I told you about one of the big goals of my trip to India next month. We wanted to provide clean water to the village of the tribe we serve. We’ve gone over several possibilities, and since they are on government land, we can’t dig a well. So that left us with water tanks. We started praying, and we asked you to join us, to be able to provide them with water tanks next month.

The Lord is so generous, so we stepped out in faith, and wanted to begin the prep work needed to install the tanks. On Monday, our volunteers visited the village to scout a location and see the extent of prep-work we would need to do on site. While there, they noticed their water source was drying up and the water was stagnant. This puts the tribe at risk of many illnesses including typhoid and malaria! So our month-long goal became an immediate need.

I received this news while in a clinic getting vaccinations including typhoid in preparation for my trip. I was overcome with both guilt and compassion at once. With no immediate risk of typhoid, I was getting protected from it at the same moment the precious little ones from our church and their families were actually at risk. So my prayers instantly became more urgent.

But the Lord knew their need long before we did. (Always true!) And, before the day was over, we had exactly the amount needed to purchase the tanks! (Thank you!! ♥)

This all happened in one day! Amazing!

While the tanks were being readied for delivery, our volunteers and the tribe got to work preparing the base for them.

The kids loved helping to remove the rocks from the fill dirt.

Giving thanks!

Foundation finished and tanks delivered!

This is such an amazing blessing!
