How should we interpret John 20:23? Since salvation depends on remission of all sins, it looks as though Jesus is empowering the disciples to either grant or withhold salvation. I know that this can’t be the case, as it contradicts other scripture. What is really being said here?

My question has to do with the “falling away” of 2 Thes. 2:3. I understand that many will be deceived by/into the apostate church of the End Times through various avenues. If someone starts out as a true Christian but in the process of living becomes deceived and does not realize nor repent of this but continues to sincerely believe they are following Jesus even though they have fallen away from the Gospel they were saved with and their relationship with Jesus, have they lost their salvation?

I’m thinking there is a scripture in the Bible that talks about once Israel becomes a nation or has possession of their land that not a generation will pass before the coming of the Lord. Is this true and if so where can I find it?

I truly believe we are in the last days. There is so much evidence of it in society’s ways and just how everything is playing out. I have a question, however. I realize that Israel is getting closer and closer to being ready to rebuild the Temple. Could it be rebuilt, in your estimation, within a few years?

My wife has heard 4 trumpet sounds in 4 years, she feels that another 3 and then something momentous will happen. I have researched on the Net and many people have heard these but not all at the same time. I thought that the trumpet calls would happen in the tribulation.

An online news service recently wrote an article entitled “Will Tribulation Begin a Year From Now?” In the article, the author uses some kind of calculations to determine that Fall 2015 could possibly be the beginning of the Tribulation. Why, in your opinion, did the 6 day war and the 1973 conflict not meet the substance of the Ezk 38-39 war? Obviously I expect that Turkey who did not participate is part of the answer, but Russia was very involved in both. Because as I sit, those two wars were pretty dead on. Where am I wrong?

Re: 2 Cor. 5:8. I have always believed that what Paul was saying in this verse is that when we pass from this life in an instant we will be present with God in heaven.

This came up in our men’s Bible study of Psalm 91 and God’s perfect protection afforded to all who dwell in the shelter of the Most High. When Paul spoke these words, and I believe he spoke of this in another letter as well, he made the comment that he had a choice to stay in this body and serve the Lord or to be present with Christ (Die). He said he was torn between the two. So my comment to the other men there was do you think Paul knew the promise of God (Psalm 91) so up close and personal that he realized he had a choice of Life or Death? And of course if he did do we?

I did a search for pre trib rapture and came across a site claiming to destroy the pre-trib position with just one verse. What would be your response to him? I would like to know in case someone ever challenges me with this question.

I have a question concerning Jeremiah 30:11 and Tribulation Believers. If God completely destroys the nations to which Israel was scattered, and those being the gentiles, where do the gentile tribulation believers come from, since the nations come to give their gifts to God during the millennium?
